Is it July 14th Yet?Wow I'm so terrible at updating. But never mind that.
Seriously though, is it July 14th yet? For those of you that don't know, and shame on you if you don't, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out at midnight of the 14th. I know I have my tickets purchased, in fact they have been purchased quite some time ago. But the question is do you? I wanna know, what will you be doing on the night of the 14th?

I'm in SpaceReally? No, not really, but Portal 2 is defiantly out there.
So Portal 2 has been out for ... 12 days. And I just want to say. Worth every penny and hours I spent 100% it. If I could I would send Valve a piece of my brain for creating, not only this game but all their other games. Again I will not spoil the game for those who have not passed it, or at least try. But I have to say it was bloody brilliant a game that made my thinker hurt, but too addicting put the controller down. The single player campaign was a good length with a wonderful story, fantastic voice acting and even the occasional plot twist. And of course snide remarks from yours truly.
Then there is the co-op mode, which was a wonderful assest the game. My partner in Science the PsycoFerret. Gee what can I say about how great a team we are. Not to brag or be snobby, but we were pretty darn good. But enough of that I'm here to rant about a game not myself, granted it was only two sentences. Co-op was unbelievably clever and quirky. It made us go thinking beyond 2 portal and made it 4. There were moments where we would just sit there at the puzzle for a good 15 mins before one of us had a brilliant but extremely mad idea, in hopes of beating the puzzle.
All in all I love this game. Every achievement is achievable. Well done Valve in leaching more money from me you deserved it.

HannaIf there is one thing I love to do, it's to go see movies at the theatre with my bestie. We'll laugh at all the right and totally inappropriate moments. But not to be annoying or insensitive to everyone around us, but because of some inside joke and we simply cannot stifle out our giggles. So without further to do I give you a brief overview of HANNA...
First and formost I would like to say that this movie was brilliant. it had wonderful casting, which is saying a lot, for I'm not a huge fan of Eric Bana. But really he was fantastic, as for Cate Blanchett, I don't think she can do no wrong, even if the movie she is in is utterly terrible, her performance is always at it's best. And as for Saoirse Ronan, well she was a absolute joy to watch. She kept her character bad ass, but still adorable.
When I watch a movie, I do go for a good time, but I also watch for some key things depending on the film. Story, Casting/Characters, The Score, Effects ect. And there was one thing that stood out to me and it was the score written by The Chemical Brothers. Now I won't spoil anything, I hope and if I do, I apologize. The music really made the movie. It was intense and childish all at the same time, from the guitar rifts, to something as simple as a xylophone, to the quirky carnival music.
And as much as I like to banter on and on, I won't. Go see the movie for yourself and I'll let you be the judge.

The Fat UnicornFor those who don't know me, I have this strange obsession with Unicorns. But not just any Unicorns, Fat ones. I guess it started all with Dream Work's Despicable Me, and the "It's so cute and fluffy I'm gunna die!" line, not to mention the giant unicorn stuffie that went with it. And as such my best friend and I when to see this movie, and she promised me that if we were ever to find a Unicorn stuffie she would buy it for me.
As luck would have it we ventured all the way to Orlando, Florida, from miserable snowy "place in Canada", for the soul propose of going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's was awesome, if you care to know more specifics you can ask me. But more specifically, I knew there were Unicorn stuffies there. So to make a rather lengthy story short, my best friend bought it for me. Then it was all down hill from there.
So how did it escalde to the glorious Fat Unicorn? DeviantArt. Those crazy people whom I love dearly, draw the silliest, most colourful Fat Unicorns I have ever seen. Now there is a picture on my cell of a very colourful Fat Unicorn, and one day a friend of mine stared blankly at me and plainly asked, "Why?".
"Silly *name* everyone knows Fat Unicorns that poop Rainbows are the best!"

And one more Thing.People under the age of 18 getting ahold of M-rated games. I gotta say this is one of my biggest peeves. In the past I worked at a gaming store, and there was always, ALWAYS some cocky kid who though he could get by this rule. I'm no stickler for rules, but for this one I am. It's rated M for a reason, if your parent is with you and approves of you getting the game, after I tell them why it's rated M, FINE.
Now I have gamed for most of my life, starting out with the Sega Genesis and what not. And I'll admit I got ahold of some M rated games before I was 18, but I was never a douche about it. Now when I go online and I hear a kid who sounds like there 10 playing a M rated game I wanna rip my ears out. I don't care if they're better than me, but its the fact that, they're swearing like a trucker. I doesn't make you cool in anyway. You are just compensating.
So be forewarned small children. And yes that includes everyone under the age of 18. I will cockblock you any way I legally can.

I would just like everyone to know....That I am a Girl, and I don't wear ribbons in my hair. And I don't want to kiss all the boys. Ok this is really for anyone that is sending me friend request. I don't take RANDOM FRIENDS! I mean honestly, get to know me first. Start a comment conversation or something. Or watch my rarely update journal, seriously.

To The KingAs probably the whole world knows, The Oscars. And all I really have to say, despite what people were saying on my FaceBook, it was that they were rather enjoyable. There were really no surprises, unless you call James Franco in a drag a surprise or a bit of good humor well played. Colin Firth took away Best Actor which I am grateful for as did the movie, The King's Speech it self. Pixar again wins best animated film, and even though its no surprise, hell I really did like Toy Story 3. It pulled my rather none existant heart strings and had me going the whole movie. But really?! Seriously Pixar, you've had your fun, it's high time you step down and let another movie fill your shoes for a year. Not gunna lie I really wanted How To Train Your Dragon to win, and even though I haven't seen The illusionist, since no theatre with in a 50km radius was showing it. I would have rather it won. And I'll end on this note while I type to the melodic sounds of 127 Hours, people should really look at themselves in a mirror before they brave the Red Carpet. But Congrats to all the winners anyways and I look forward to next year when you movies suck more money and potential hours out me. Well done. It's a Start...I guessSo I have never been much of a blogger/journal writer. But I though today is as good as any day. Granted they will all be terrible short, but hey I can't write to save my life. So something is better than nothing.
That being said, Burnie needs this car.
The Sandwich Police
And that's really all I have to say.
