I'm back, and I've finished Harry PotterHey all, sorry about the long absense. Long story. Anyway, I've got a new job and I'm back at school studying IT.
I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows about a week or so after it came out and absolutely loved it. In fact, I went on a Harry Potter binge and re-read the entire series (I had only read the books once before). I think I enjoyed them even more the second time round. You get to pick up more, some characters who start off minor and then become more important later on, a better understanding of Snape and where he's coming from etc. Anything else would be a spoiler, but basically, it was brilliant.
I did one of those "which Harry Potter character are you?" quizzes and got Remus Lupin both times Link.
Random fact: Melbourne water levels were at 28% in mid-May. They just hit 40% yesterday. Yay for rain and I hope the drought is over.

Yay, tickets......So the Royal Shakespeare company is coming to Melbourne in July and performing King Lear, with the lead role performed by Sir Ian McKellen...... and I got tickets! They're selling fast, so if anyone in Melbourne wants to go, you better book straight away.

One of my favourite Australian comedies is The Chaser's war on Everything. It airs on Australia's main public broadcaster, the ABC, which has started to experiment with Vodcasting. This means you can legally download the whole episode after it airs. The new season doesn't start for a while, but you can get the final episode from the last season here in wmv format and here in mp4 format, just right-click and save as. The files are about 80 meg each for a half hour episode, so the quality isn't fantastic, but it is very watchable.
