The good (1), the bad (2), the ugly (3).1) So, heh, i played my weekly softball game today (was supposed to be 3 games). Felt really good playing, i wasn't hitting very well, because i was swinging too eagerly at crap pitches, but was fast on my feet (out ran the throw once and made it safe), made a few good plays in outfield.

2) So i'm running up on a fly, it was about 20 ft in front of me and i gad a good speed going, but last second it looks kinda like it's gonna bounce just in front of me. i'm not sure if i changed my run, or if i hit a patch of uneven ground or what, but i came down pretty hard on my left foot, rolling the foot inward, as i fell down on it, i heard POP.

3) Yep, i broke my foot. It's the bone that goes to the pinky toe, up near the ankle. Got it casted... the real ugly? We're going to Disneyland on thursday.... Florida... in July... with a cast. Ya, i'm excited.

Under a rock so i can RAWKKinda a quick thing here, but if you haven't seen www.DrHorrible.com yet, you NEED to do so, it goes down tonight midnight EST, then u'll have to wait until one of your more hip friend shows it to you on DVD.

i'm not one of those people who will say the Red Wings will win tonight (nurses are very superstitious) but i will say i bloody well hope they do. 2000 EST, i'm nearly crawling out of my skin. In other related news, i've been growing my beard out since the playoffs started, and while it has grown more than i'd ever thought i'd be able, i am really eager to shave this puppy off. i don't think i look bad beardy, but it's just getting warm here and it itches something feirce. i'll have to take/post a pic of it before the shaving... which, could be as soon as tonight.

Addendum: Can't beleive they lost that game, good news is, most of the Pens scores were on Detroit goof ups, as long as the Wings can keep it together i'm still optimistic. GG Pitsburgh

i'd write an actual journal, but it would appear i have an icky headcold and i grow so very tired of my own snot....

somebody stop me....oh god... i'm horrible. i took apart a fan we had, since it was filthy, from being used and sitting at the house. (i try to be a fairly handy guy, sometimes though, not so much) i was somewhat concerned because about 30% of fans i've taken apart in the past, don't work properly when put back together. So when i took this one apart, washed it (thank you "do it yourself powerwash car wash") then put it back together, i was slightly worried it wouldn't work right. Gladly... it did. Then i said it.... i couldn't help myself... i'm ashamed, but i have to relate this, so i may be brutalized accordingly... outloud, to myself.... "i love it when a fan comes together..."

In other news, we spent the whole weekend working at Debb's house, i think it's actually ready for market now... which is good, since it's supposed to be listed today. We're gonna lose money... i hate the housing market.

Also, i just slammed my pinky in a window... it's fairly numb right now, it's kinda odd... of course, that could be the rum too. And now... bedtime, i gotta get up for work in 4ish hours. Hope u're well.

Day 3 & 4i hold on so nervously, to me and my drink;

But so far, has not been good, it’s been shitty,

Had to combine 2 days on this journal. Had to work two in a row (friday night sucked major, but saturday was a decent night) then on 4ish hours of sleep i played softball, 3 games total, 2 were double header. Heh, so i was wicked tired.

Well I’m not paralyzed, but, I seem to be struck by you.

Basically, the diet is going well... but i am sore as a 10lb. lobster in a 2lb. pot.... or so i'd imagine. i'm kinda torn, situps/pushups to keep up the exercise or take a day off of the exercise portion... i'd rather not work out and then have to take something for the soreness if instead a day off could help me heal up... not sure which to do.

Anywho'll... about time for work, hope u guys doing well, really enjoying getting back in touch with you guys! Name the song and get some mods... i LOVE this song for getting the blood flowing.

Day 2First of all get off the wall, it's time to party so have a ball.
We slowed it on down so get the hell up, like a volcano I'll erupt!
We got determination - bass and highs, White Castle fries only come in one size.
What you see is what you get, and you ain't seen nothing yet!

Day 2 of my diet / exercise thinger. Going pretty good so far, haven't really had any urges to fall off the wagon... of course, a McD's double cheese burger sounds flippin' good right now, but... meh. So, if u haven't noticed, day 1 was 5/1, how is day 2 5/3? well, i don't have normal days ok... ah, night shift. Day 1 actually lasted 21 waking hours... so with my life i figured it best to go by time's slept and awake, yadda yadda.
Strong as an ox fresh out the box, the crowd is so live they're coming in flocks,
and when we go on the crowd goes off, it's all hard rock there's nothing soft

So, everyday i'm trying to cycle exercises, day 1 was situps & pushups, today was cycling. i was pretty psyched cuz this has been my 3rd time out since the weather got nice. The 1st time out i did 5miles, took 45mins and was pretty beat. Today i did 5miles and took 25mins, and if not for fact i gotta sleep i could go more. Really kicked up my pace. Now, the first day was kinda slow cuz i had to ride to get air in tires, which really wore me out riding on flats . Still, definate progress. Bad part is, thanks to the interweb i figured out i burned about 310 calories, kinda sux a good workout could be crushed by a Krispy Kreme.. but, so it goes.

Got my song today from my bike ride, was cycling through songs (ha... pun) and found this and it's kinda high energy helped me out. Gotta thank Ambeh though for putting the group in my brain. And no, that's not how you spell her name, but it is how you say it. Either way, first to comment name the group & song and get some mods, cuz.... that's how i roll.

Day 1Okay folks, i figure this is the perfect medium to log this sorta crap, so stick with me and i'll try to keep it somewhat slightly maybe possibly comical.
Risin' up, back on the street , did my time, took my chances.
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet, just a man and his will to survive!

i'm starting.... DUN DUN DUN, a diet. See, here's the thing, about a year ago i went in for a physical, during which time, i checked my cholesterol... 192. Not terrible... kinda. >200 is high risk for heart disease and stroke... i'm a flippin nurse, i gotta fix that.
So, Doc' says, give it 6 months of diet and exercise and we'll see what happens. i did alot of diet changes. i killed all fast food. First 6 months, NO fast food, really watched what i ate. After that, some occasional fast food, but never the really greasy junk. Ate ALOT of fish & fiber (Omega-3 increases HDL, fiber binds with bile which is made from cholesterol). Only thing i didn't really crack down on... exercise.
So many times, it happens too fast, you change your passion for glory.
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past, you must fight just to keep them alive!

So, i go back to check cholesterol... it went up, 30pts, now 222. Fek, are you kidding me? i couldn't really exercise too much (i bike mostly and play softball, neither works in Michigan winters)... So, now i'm on Zocor (only 10mg @ bedtime) not terrible. Since, i've kinda fallen off the wagon, started gobbling burgers like a dollar hooker outside the 99cent store (which i think would be alot).
Face to face, out in the heat, hangin' tough, stayin' hungry .
They stack the odds 'til we take to the street, for we kill with the skill to survive!

SO, here i am, diet and exercise program. Problem? i have little will power. My tendancy is to start out strong and kinda peter out. Which is kinda why i'm putting it up here, figure, if i gotta fess up to folks i like, maybe i'll stick to it. So ya. Day #1, starting day, i'm at 92.7kg (putting it in metric cuz its more medical and i figure u'll have to do the conversion to know i'm a secret fatty). I'm doing this crazy cleanse thing with Debb, which isn't bad, lots of fruit, meal supplements (i generally eat 1-2meals a day only anyway really), and working out. Today was situps and pushups, tomorrow, back on the bike, been doing 5miles a day, gonna try to double that in the next week.

So that's it, first day went good, and accept for the urge to punch a little boy for his peanut butter sandwich (sorry babe, it was only a flash impulse), it went fine. Hopefully, i don't wuss out on this, i do want to drop about 22-33kg (10-15lbs roughly).
Name the song (the only song possible when starting an exercise program BTW) and get some mods. Also, ever had something you really wanted but kept giving up on? For me it's either this or writing.
