R.I.P. Steve FoxWell, I learned yesterday that a family friend died on Thursday, October 6. Mr. Fox was 57, and died of an infection after heart surgery. Today was his funeral, the first funeral I've ever attended. It had been a while since I had seen him, and his family. After his son Patrick graduated High School, we didn't see that much of the Fox's. I felt horrible that an event like this had to be the catalyst for seeing each other again.
The other thing is that it makes me feel a little nervous for my own father. He's 52, and has already been through quite a few surgeries. Mr. Fox never seemed to have anything wrong, but now he's gone, and it's a sad loss. My father does so much for my family, never asking for help and is usually reluctant to accept it. He comes inside bleeding from doing work outside or covered in scratches and bruises that he didn't realize he had. I always wonder if he is overworking himself, but I think the loss of Mr. Fox at such a young age makes me more scared for my father's safety.
Anyway, please, send good wishes or, if your religious, prayers to the Fox family of Debbie, Patrick, and Brian. Brian is expecting his first child next month, the first grandchild for Debbie and Steve.
R.I.P. Steve JobsWell, the man of Apple passed away today at the age of 56... pancreatic cancer apparently. It's ironic it happened so soon after that mis-tweet from "What's Trending". Still, sad day. Rest in peace, as I sit here listening to music on my iTouch...
Google+Finally started using it even though I was in Beta. And yeah, it is pretty cool. Last night was Friday Night Drunkcraft, and we did it over Google+ video chat instead of just audio Skype. We now have proof that Buddha took 2 shots of Jager before the next match.
Red vs Blue TributeRecently re-uploaded a re-mastered version of my Red vs Blue Tribute to Season 8 to my re-made YouTube account. It took about 5 hours of downloading, splicing, and syncing to the music, but I am extremely happy how it turned out.

Gavino as my cousinA lot of you may have seen Gavin's most recent journal, but I got to chat with him last night. People are also wondering how we found out we are related. I had my aunt and uncle from the UK came to visit for a few weeks in May. While they were here, I told them that I want to grow up to do online content. I showed them a few things online, as well as my Red vs Blue DVD box sets.
About 2 weeks after they leave, I received an email telling me to look at this show on YouTube, called the "Slow Mo Guys". I, being a big RT fanboy, knew what it was. However, they included in the email "This is your father's Cousin's Son's youtube series, Slow Mo Guys." I was a little confused, but eventually determined that it meant Gavino Free was my second cousin.
I have been an RT fan for 5 years, just after season 5 of RvB had finished. And now I know that one of these people that I idolize online it my relative. So, yeah. After seeing Gavin around RT for 2 years, in RT Shorts and on the Drunk Tank, I learned he was my cousin 4 months ago. Last night during my podcast was the first time we ever spoke, but still. Really awesome.
EDIT: wow, I can't believe this is on the top post list... Well. Anyway. The podcast interview can be found HERE and on iTunes. We also have a GROUP on the site. Thanks again for all the people who gave me the good words of praise. I really appreciate it.
