CoD4 Mile HighI ran the Mile High Club for Geoff this morning and decided to record it for posterity. If you are interested in seeing what made the difference in our contest, check out the video in my comments. I want to apologize for the blown out audio, I did this spur of the moment and forgot to check my levels. And once you see the video, you will realize it's not something I want to go back and re-record. I left in about 8 failed runs to fully illustrate the horror of that level, which may seem cruel to the viewer but trust me -- there were many many more that I cut. I think gfunk has run the one-minute level for anywhere between 5-10 hours. I spent several on it myself. This particular run is not that pretty, I flashbang myself twice and get lucky a couple of places, but I will take it.

Finishing the final episode of Recovery One (part four) today. As soon as Marketplace posts Part Three, we have it up for you all as well.

WOW...You made that last run look so damn easy! Every time I play it, my guy always runs out of ammo at the worst time. In fact, the farthest I've ever gone is where you get the flashbang re-supply, then I got owned...

wow 75 tries it took me 10 minutes of trying to do this.

For anyone that needs help just throw good flashbangs on the 1st floor, dont do what he did on the 2nd room, throw a flashbang behind the wooden thing and go prone. shoot any1 in front of you, and make sure you pick up a p90/shotgun or both. be careful on the 3rd floor and when u get to the hallway, throw a flashbang in the middle, bounce it off the wall, then spray shotty or mp5 there and run

shooting for the leggs of the terrorist (for some unknown reason) kills the hostage eave if you miss all the leggs so patience works the best.

P.S what was your favorite cheat?

no, in your aim it carfully, your can shoot the terrorist in the legs, you jsut have to be carful, aim it for between his legs

burnie man i feel your pain i i got to the end in like one day on veteran and have spent the last three trying to beat this one level, its the most frustrating fun level i've ever played, more levels should be like this. it was a real challenge trying to figure out the best way through

I first watched this when he posted it. Thought to myself, "Pfft, that doesn't look hard." Just got COD4 for Christmas. Actually my brother did. I "borrowed" it, fell in love with it, did the game on Hardened (based on my mock boat results). Did the last mission easy. Thought to myself, "Hey, this is what Burnie was doing!" Tried the mission on Veteran. About 3 hours later, no luck. Thankful there was already duct tape on my controller. Had to give up cause my bro wanted to play Assassin's Creed. Try again tomorrow. Or... later today.

Damn you Burnie. Damn you and your lucky runs.

Mini-rant: Anyone else notice the terrible movement coding in this game? Notice, you if you want straight into a ROUNDED corner, you just stop. In Halo 3, if you walk straight into a rounded corner or slanted wall, you don't stop just because you aren't pushing the exact direction you need to walk, you're forced into going the direction you can physically go. Notice in Burnie's video, I think second to last run-through, at the very beginning, he gets stuck on a chair, or wall, or something. A smart game coder would have programmed him to push around the wall, instead of just dead stopping. And one more thing - how come an enemy on the ground doing the Last Stand thing counts as an object that causing this kind of blocking? Can't a fucking Marine jump over a half-dead guy on the ground????

And they said this game was realistic. Pfft.

After getting that Achievement myself, I can now sympathize with you. That level was absolute horror. I had the bottom floor of the plane made every time, but getting up to the second floor, you start to run out of time and you've got to learn not to rush or you're gonna mess up. Of course, nothing's more pleasant than getting to the doors at the end right as the timer hits zero. Then you have your obligatory shooting the hostage in the face several times, and then you get lucky. After diving out of that plane, I can safely say I will never ever ever do that again.

At least not on Veteran.

I spent easily a couple hours trying this. Finally get to the hostage, so I decide to use the plan that I did on normal, shoot the guy in the leg, then the head. I shot and it said "You killed the terrorist, true veterans get headshots" or something like that. I freakin wanted to punch something. Be glad you didn't do that, Burnie.

Note: The word terrorist in the quote is supposed to be VIP. This is what happens when I'm completely out of it after playing the epilogue so much.
