What song are you doing next?
It's posted in the group.
How can I be in it?
With your webcam or recording device, record your self lip syncing and dancing to the song. I record having 3 windows up: a YouTube clip of the song, my webcam recording software, and sometimes a window with lyrics to the song.
Should I have sound on when I record?
Yes, it makes things easier for us to lap your audio with the music. We'll mute your audio anyway, so don't worry about adjusting the volume.
Do I have to record the entire video?
You don't HAVE to, but if we get you doing the entire song, the more footage we have of you and the more likely you'll be in the video.
You mean I might not get to be in even if I make a submission?
That's right. There are multiple reasons why you might not make the team. It could be technical, like the quality might not be good or my computer might detect a virus from your attachment. The lighting could also be too dark, but typically most people do get in.
Does it matter what format I send it in?
We prefer .avi and .mov
We can work with .wmv .mpeg1 and mpeg2 but we have to convert them
m4v will not work
What else is important?
 Lighting is very important. Sometimes I put a lamp in front of me, or stand in front of a window when recording.
Practice lip syncing, know the lyrics.
Don't just sit front of your webcam
Don't read the lyrics off your monitor
Pronounce the words, don't mumble.
How do I send this to you?
Email it as an attachment to awesomeonitsown@gmail.com, or send the link from megaupload.com or yousendit.com
Is there a maximum number of submissions I can send?
Two. We'll accept three if they're in different locations and they totally kick ass, but we really prefer just one.

How did this all start?
I few months ago I told Kyle I was working on a video project. Becca agreed to be involved, and we started going through a lot of different ideas. I proposed the idea of lip sync videos, and asked several other users if they wanted to be involved. That's how Lane and Nick also joined the picture.
Who came up with the title?
Kyle came up with Awesome On Its Own.
