Groups

Well guys, I'm sorry to say I've got some bad news about groups. We make backups of the database every day however the backups we make only allow for entire database restoration, not individual tables. So, the only way to get groups back would be to roll the entire site back to the state it existed in before last Monday. Unfortunately that is not going to happen. As a result of this I'm going to be investigating some alternate methods of database backup to see if we can recover individual tables in case of future trouble.

I'm really sorry, I have been doing a lot of testing, however I don't want to put the rest of the site data at risk to attempt a restoration that I don't think would even work. We have patched up the issues that caused this to happen in the first place, and as always if you find what is a potential security issue, please let us know and we will investigate it and work on it. Ah, that's no good. I'm sure things can be rebuilt in the groups, if it comes down to it. The hard work is certainly appreciated.
