The devil inside?alright So i saw a prescreening of the new movie "the Devil inside" its supposed to be an exorcism movie done in the fakumentary style kinda like paranormal activity.
Now the people putting on the screening were smart about picking the location for the movie they chose this one gothic looking church in pasadena , they had the head priest of the church outside blessing people and they had holy water and all that good stuff on hand.
The whole place was pretty cool. but i cant really say the same about the movie. the editing made some scenes alot funnier then they were even intended being. The casting, Acting, and directing were average. The story had alot of plot holes and the length of the movie was alot shorter then average. it was about an hour and 14 minutes i think.
One of the funniest deteriorations of a character dynamic can be found in the exorcists that start off as hard boiled strong believers of the power of god and dont care wether or not something is legal or not as long as they are combating the dark army. Then after 30 minutes , one of them turns into the "what about my job , its my practice, the church.....tears*** blah blah blah" and the other just completely forgets that hes an exorcist and how to combat demons or contortionist for that matter.
The movie was entertaining non the less. im pretty sure i ruined half the scare shots that they were recording with my all out laughter of some of the awkward edits. but hey if its funny... im gunna laugh. id say rent it or double it with another crazy movie and throw down beers or wine.
