Nerf Nerd (Redux)So I painted another one. For those who are interested, this one is the Nerf Rayven and it started out like this:

I sanded off the main insignia:

Then sprayed it black, thus:

Mid-stage painting, metallics and base layer on the casing:

Using masking tape for neat decals, which was an experiment that turned out fairly well:

The finished article:

I'll take another couple of pictures tomorrow when there's sun. Pretty happy with this bad boy. I'm thinking about doing more of these and perhaps even selling them - would any of you gorgeous nerds be interested, or am I the only Nerf maniac here?

You KNOW you're not the only Nerf nerd here. The spray paint and minor lacerations on my hands prove that.

... What, you never gave yourself a sandpaper cut? You're not living.

I would totally be interested - your stuff is so excellent :)

I was puzzled by the Game of Thrones Box thinking "but they didn't use any GUNS in GoT!!"

if you're trying to feel out interest, I'd be really into buying one of your Nerf guns (as long as they're not insanely priced) I've seen a lot of people do steampunk and the like mods and really really want one but have no skill in things like this.

You have a real talent there - I wouldn't know where to even begin with something like that.
