who was the most difficult character to draw from the cast?
#31  Posted 1 year ago
Wookiee72 NotChewbacca
Please tell me it is the Vespa story
#4  Posted 1 year ago
No, that, unfortunately, is one of those un-clicked ones still. I have a lot of problems with that one.

If you could be any type of tree, what type of tree would you be?

Gus said he'd be "a tree that doesn't ask stupid questions"
#32  Posted 1 year ago
A tree that knows when it's being mocked.

Or a conifer.

What do you do outside of RT?
#36  Posted 1 year ago
When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling, playing video games, reading, going to comedy shows, going to Disneyland, and eating.

Do you do all of your work in Flash? If not then what and are you all self-taught?
P.S. Congrats on creating a piece of work, it always feels great to make something and having it take off. Keep them coming :)

OH and Coffee or Tea?
#37  Posted 1 year ago
Yep, all Flash. I taught myself for the most part. That is, I never paid anyone to teach me how to animate. I learned from studying it myself.

Thank you!

And... right now I'm gonna go with coffee.I have my ebbs and flows with coffee, but right now we're good.

You're stranded on an island. You can only take a CD and music player, an electronic device to keep you entertained, and an third item from your home. What are they?
#38  Posted 1 year ago
There's a really good mixed CD my friend made for road trips, I believe it's called "Austin II #16". Then, might as well bring my DS. Aaaand a book. Shrug.

Do you think you'll stray away from the stickness in this or future projects? Do you feel like you've gained enough animation experience to do more intricate work?

Nothing is wrong with the simplicity, but do you find yourself wanting to pursue more artistic works?
#39  Posted 1 year ago
I think I work best within a simple, almost minimalist style. Some of the side projects I've toyed with have been even more simple than the RTAA. I do feel that I could do more intricate animations, and I feel the animation has evolved and will continue to do so. But having a comfort zone is ni...

Will we see more of Anime Burnie?

Has there been a podcast you want to animate, but the story is so complex that it will take too much of the average running time?
#40  Posted 1 year ago
You'd have to make Burnie do more stereotypical Japanese/anime dialogue in the first place.

Maybe anime Burnie/Michael showdown from the other day.
#2  Posted 1 year ago
jnp08 AK Represent
Jordan Ok not much a story, but a segment from the podcast. Like Joel's adventures of skydiving or Matt remembering the 5 steps of Death. Stuff like that.

And hopefully there are more segments to add Anime Burnie.

who is your favorite person to make an RTAA for?
#41  Posted 1 year ago
Stories with Joel are always fun to animate, because they are usually very crazy and funny.

could you do more drunk geoff stories? or maybe more kid burnie

My favorite shirt is actually the Toast one with the RTAA title card. I have all the shirts of course, I designed them!

Question: Will the RTAA's ever make their way on a RoosterTeeth DVD in the future? I'd love to watch them in one long sitting on a television?

FACT: You are fucking amazing!

I'd like very much for that to happen. I imagine some day, they will be. But right now I haven't heard of any plans to do so.

FACT: YOU ARE AMAZING AS WELL. You had a hand in creating one of my favorite RTAAs.

Do you draw them out by hand like on a storyboard and then put them into flash or do you do it on the computer?
#45  Posted 1 year ago
Believe it or not, I am a shitty artist. I draw everything on the computer, with a mouse (no tablet), and I don't storyboard.

How awesome was it to be listed along side egoraptor? Did you send him anything to his P.O. box yet?
#46  Posted 1 year ago
That was very cool, I admit. Getting recognition outside of Rooster Teeth was very rewarding for me. I remember telling my friends about it and acting nonchalant, and they were going bananas and wondering how I was so calm about it.

I haven't sent anything to his PO Box. He doesn't live too...

Have you received any fan mail yet and do you plan to receive more/some ?
#47  Posted 1 year ago
No, nothing physical, at least. I don't plan on putting out an address or PO Box for people to send stuff to. The comments I get on the site and YouTube of a job well done are enough for me.

But if you do want to send fan mail, send it to the Rooster Teeth office in Austin.

Did you ever see yourself becoming "cast and crew"?
Was that your intent when you started making these?
#48  Posted 1 year ago
My intent was to cure my boredom and make something funny, maybe use it as a stepping stone to make my own cartoon. Never did I imagine it snowballing into a career in this way.

Is it all stop motion (one frame at a time)? I've done stop frame videos and they are so very tedious to do.
#51  Posted 1 year ago
For most things, yes. Sometimes I'll use tweens for walking clips.

How much do you lose faith in humanity each time someone accuses you of stealing the RTAA's from Roosterteeth?

I understand where they're coming from, to a certain extent. I just try to deal with it the best I can.

How did you come up with the idea for the animated adventures and how long did it take you to make the final version of your first one?
#53  Posted 1 year ago
It took about 3 days solid to make the first one. But it's simple compared to the show now. I could probably re-make it in less than a day.

You say that H*R was a big inspiration to you; what's your favourite H*R toon? Favourite character? And do you think you could use your superstar influence to get them to actually make content again? :D
#54  Posted 1 year ago
I've always been a big fan of the first appearance of the Drive Thru Whale. That toon was so strange, funny, and a great commentary of fast food places. Homestar's my favorite character, and no, I cannot get them to make new H*R content. But you could always watch the Aquabats! Super Show!...

Interesting. Have all of the AA's come from your own ideas and other fans, or have the staff requested any just to see the awesomeness?
#55  Posted 1 year ago
I can't think of any time when a staff member requested a story, actually. It's mostly me and the fans' input.

2 3 questions should you choose to except this:

Which episode was a real bitch to animate? (As of 23rd March)

Could we get a behind the scenes video soon for RT Life?

Can we at last accept the fact that in the RTPC/AA Brandon is RoosterTeeth's Karl Pilkington or are we far off from that?

I think Gavin is a better Karl Pilkington, but it's close.
