Lego Mass EffectIt today's podcast, I talked about my kiddo being allowed to play Mass Effect if he did cool stuff based on the fiction. Here's a repost of a journal from last year where I posted some of his creations:
My son, Jack, is a lot like me. He and I have a deal: he can play videogames as long as I get to approve them first and he does something creative with what he learns and sees. He usually either writes stories or build these awesome scale lego models of stuff from the games. Or talking my head off (or the head of any adult who will listen) about the fiction in the games. Here's some of his Lego stuff from Mass Effect:
Geth and Geth Prime (<--- linked in case you have no idea what these are)
Your kid is definitely talented. It's great to see that you have a great role in your child's development! I bet it doesn't hurt that you are probably one of the coolest individuals on the internet! xD
That's awesome! Also a brilliant idea, turning video games into an exercise of creativity and learning. P.S. I love how you always refer kids as 'kiddos'. Makes me smile every time I see/hear it.
That's awesome. I guess now you're thinking "Damn, now he CAN play Mass Effect." Just don't let him go to certain places (isn't there a strip club in that game anyway?)
Not sure where this started but I think these are all the first pictures put together. Google Storm Trooper Dad. (I make it a rule to find the answer and post it in replies but Pax Side Quest Dinner is soon)
