#565: Help Us WinIn addition to the workload I've recently taken on (this first week is over, the day went great Mi-chyan), I've also been involved with the production of a song for a contest.
The Story
As you can see from my current profile pic, I've been spending time recording music. One of the songs I recorded a backround vocal for was a song for my friend Spencer. My brother Dennis and I produced this song for a contest for the Union Pacific Railroad. A local video company put together the video and filmed it all and whatnot at their studio, and we entered this contest.

So, my internetical friends, here it comes.
We need your help to win. Although the grand prize winner is not based solely on the votes, we can witn 1000 dollars each month if our video is the #1 voted video. We're in 2nd place right now (the vid has only been up a couple days), and we could use all the help we can get.
You know I hate asking for help in voting contests, but this is money we could use to get better mics, a Whisper Room, better audio interfaces for the computer, etc.
Can you help us out? Can you spread the word?
Now, I know you're thinking "What if you're not that great?" That's a valid question. Look at some of the other submissions, then look at ours, now back to the other submissions, now back to ours...sadly, their videos are not as good, ours is better (lol Old Spice voice). My brother and I spent 3 weeks mastering this song, recording the other instruments (him more than me, but I still spent my time working on it), and leveling everything and etc. We started work on the arrangement of the song back in January.

If you can, maybe spread the word. We put a helluva lot of work in to this, and we're hoping that the quality of our sound (since the video was a little laggy due to the resolution of the upload) is enough to convince Union Pacific that our song is the one they want.
