2 more weeks2 weeks left, one week of class, and finals week.
This is just an update journal,
I've managed to chip my way through some of the HW, I still have a big paper due Thursday, and my internship proposal due Friday; neither of which I have started. And of course I haven't gotten anything due after that started either.
as to the job hunt, I just got an e-mail:Thank you for sending your resume. We are bidding on the Solarize
Project. If we win it we will be needing more help. I'd like to
interview you. Would an evening later this week work for you? that project is essentially a series of solar PV contracts that would all be awarded to the same installer, who would have to (as part of the agreement) hire on students from my college to work the jobs. This would be great hands-on experience for me, however, all of the local renewable energy contractors are bidding on this project, and as such, no one is hiring until they hear back about this. It is actually kind of frustrating that I have to wait for this group of individuals to decide who to hire, because if they choose someone I'm not already in contact with, I can pretty much kiss that opportunity goodbye.
On a completely unrelated note, my neighbor from back home has been reported missing, he now lives at the nursing home my Ma works for. The guy is a paranoid schizophrenic, and largely un-hireable as a result. Recently, he got a job at in a public works project in town. He doesn't drive at all, and usually walks to town (~4 or 5 miles from where he lives now). Sunday morning, he left for a walk to town, and hasn't been seen since. My Mother is officially the last person to have seen him alive, and she sounded quite distraught over everything. Judging from what I've heard, the authorities have all but given up on the prospect of finding him alive, they've been searching ditches for his body and such.
Keep him in your prayers, and my Ma, cause its really bothering her (cause she was the last to see him)
