Niriall's Guide To RoosterTeeth pt 1I've decided to start putting together guides on how to gain respect as a commenter/poster/active member on Rooster Teeth. Todays lesson is- How To Be A Good And Successful Commenter on Images Journals and Links
Lately Ive found a lot of comments simply contain such things as "good job" "awesome" or ":-0"
This annoys the heck out of me. And it makes me want to cry.
Please dont make me cry.
The Ten Rules of Commenting 1. Is there a story that this reminds you of that you think others will find interesting? Yes? - GOOD feel free to use that as a comment. I love storytime. Especially after worktime.
2. Is there an RVB reference that hasnt been made yet in the comments section of this post that is relevant? Yes? - GOOD feel free to post it. OR NO its already been made? - Dont post it. We got the point already.
3. Is there something you disagreed with? - GOOD feel free to comment with it.
4. Is there something you especially liked? - GOOD feel free to to comment with that too.
5. Did you check for grammar and spelling mistakes? Yes? - Good.
6. Is this a comment on a journal made my a RoosterTeeth staff members Journal/Blog or images section? - NO DONT COMMENT UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING NEW. - And being on the first page of said comments sections doesn't mean anything. Really, get a life.
7. Is your comment just one word that is an adjective or smiley face? - Dont post it. - Also dont post things like "Lol" or "lmao" unless there are a lot of bigger words backing those up.
8. Do you have a relevant gif? - Good. Post it. Do you have many relevant gifs? - ONLY POST ONE PER COMMENT. - If the person has to scroll through 20 gifs that dont all load correctly because of slow internet she will strangle you. Theres a special place in hell for you.
9.Does it involve a curseword when you dont know the person well? - Unless its a reference, dont post it.
10. Be respectful. Are you trolling someone who doesnt deserve it? - Stop. - Dont. Are you hitting on a female user who you dont know at all? - Stop. Right now. Just dont. We will descend upon you with the fury of a thousand burning suns.
There. Thats all you need to know to be an at least DECENT commenter when it comes to journals, images and links. I hope you follow this simple guide.
And remember kids- if you've got nothing to say, dont comment at all.
