RTX StuffSo, I finally booked my hotel for RTX. I'll be staying at the Residence Inn/Marriott right next to the convention center. I’ll be staying in the studio suite. Comes with a full size fridge, stovetop, dishwasher, and plates and shit. I do it up right son. I'll be checking in on Friday and checking out on Monday. I only live about 45 mins away from Austin, but it's still far enough to need a hotel if you ask me. And since its RTX, I decided to go all out.
Plus, I don't plan to go to all the SideQuest events so I figure that there might be some cool shenanigans like last year (drinking, hotel parties). As far as SQ goes, I don't know how many of the events I will go to. I got a ticket to the barlympics, but Buffalo Billiards didn't really leave a good taste in my mouth last year. The crowded and loud bar scene turns me off sometimes. I think I might rather just hang out and drink with people/friends. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll be able to hang out with the RT staff or something like last year. Doubtful though. However, I don't think it's far-fetched for them to get a suite at one of the hotels to hang out in like last year. We'll see I guess.
I also don't know if I want to go to lasertag on Sunday. Part of me wants to reserve it for any potential farewell get togethers, or drunken festivities like last year. SideQuest is really cool, but I feel like I should leave some evenings open for general mingling or laid back socializing. Any thoughts? Anyone feel like just getting together and drinking Sunday night? I do hope to go to the Salt Lick on Monday. Anyone else going to that?
So, yeah. Since I have the space and amenities, if I'm free any of the nights I might be open to entertain some people and possibly provide my room as a base of operations for festivities. We'll see. Who knows? I might be too busy with Guardian stuff to do anything.
