My little Sis is awesome + Long RTOZ journalSo, my little sister just told me of her plan for a birthday gift for me: A medieval sword.
A FREAKING REAL, BLUNTED SWORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no words to describe how much I love her now :D
And, according to both my sisters, their friends, and my Mum, I am actually considered cool. I think they are deluded, but this has been pointed out to me a fair bit by you guys, so they might have a point XD
And now, my long awaited RTOZ journal.
Friday
I awoke at 5am, to make sure I had more than enough time to get to the train station.
At around 9ish am, I arrived at the Domestic Airport, and picked up the lovely @scheree, and then waited at the International Airport until 10ish am for the funny @DuffmanMedic.
We arrived at Base Sydney, which is actually a pretty decent hostel, if you are gonna do big group bookings.
We were staying with @GontArk, @Strutter, @Vaxercon, @Jimmyson07, @Robdogg, @Raddlez and eventually @Treb, who are all great people, in their own way. (Except Vax, he snores like a mofo ;P)
The RTOZ HvZ event was fun, but since I was neither a Volunteer, or knew many people, I didn't do much besides stand around and wander aimlessly.
(Look for the guy in the ME Armor Hoody, in the RTOZ pictures. That guys, is me)
Burnie and Gavin also showed up halfway through, but besides saying "How are you?" to Gavin, I didn't get to see them much.
I also got to meet @mattcorry, who is a nice and friendly person, who somehow manged to wear roughly 14 or so different shirts over the weekend XD He is super friendly, incredibly helpful and was always trying to keep conversations going. I hope you guys get a chance to meet him, if you ever manage to get to an RTOZ event.
Saturday
Got up at the crack of dawn (7am), and got to Supanova around 8ish. Waited in a short line for tickets, seeing some very good, some very bad (Who the hell cosplays as Dante, if they are fat?), and some very slutty cosplayers.
Met up with @Shawnee (who cosplayed as a Hunter from L4D), her sisters (A Classy Creeper from Minecraft, and a Witch from L4D) and her father.
First thing we did, was go to visit Raddlez at his booth in Artist Alley, for his Internet Production company OzyMonkey Studios. Go check out his stuff, a lot of it it pretty good.
Then we went straight to the Hanabee booth, to see Burnie and Gavin. Besides the Dymocks booth, which had Matthew Reilly, Hanabee had the biggest line there, which only got short when the Panel was on.
I managed to get my old-school Season 1-5 box set signed by them both, and then got Burnie to sign my Copy of World War Z, which made my entire weekend. (And I got to meet Burnie and Gavin. I've never been a fan of his, but upon meeting him, I instantly liked him, and don't think he is as dumb as he acts.)

The RTOZ Event
Unfortunately for me, 10 minutes before the actual event, I got hit by an episode of depression, and then hit by other mental problems which caused me to become very anti-social. If I had been in a better mood, I would've have seen how awesome the event was.
I think @nightwolf12's picture shows how I was feeling.

Also, screw you Raddlez, for introducing us to that Card Game. It is evil, and I encourage everyone else (who isn't me) to play it.
Sunday
Went back to Supanova, got there just in time for the RVB panel, and wandered the convention with Matt, @Leprasaun, and a few others.

Had fun talking with Scheree and Raddlez, about their current and future projects, and where they plan on taking them. I'd advise keeping an eye on these two, they are both extremely talented, and do interesting stuff.
Monday
While we signed out of Base Sydnet, we met up with @DrnknMnky4, and proceeded to have breakfast and explore the city.

(Strutter is there, but he is taking the picture XD)
I managed to get my hands on some hard to find Horus Heresy books, plus a few other books that I've been struggling to find. And a few Mass Effect comics, a Gears of War graphic novel, and one of the more recent The Darkness comics.
As our numbers started dwindling, we headed down to Darling Harbor, and got some cool Dog Tags. (I can't believe I forgot to add 'Blue Team' to them *facepalm*)
There are some awesome pictures that Raddlez took, but he hasn't gotten around to uploading them yet.
The End of my RTOZ Journal
One Final Thing.
On the 3rd of July, I will be turning 20. Problem is, due to the fact I had been planning RTOZ/Supanova, I have forgotten to plan any sort of hangout thing with my friends (who, tbh, I kinda don't want to hang with any more, except for a few of them. I'd rather hang with the people I've met through RT).
So who gets to be all alone on his Birthday?
This Guy XD
But I do have the majority of that week off, so If anyone would like to do anything, feel free to message me. (otherwise, I'll be job-searching, drawing and/or playing xbox XD)

But nice journal man, I couldn't be bothered to type out everything that happened, but you did it nicely.
Still a winner! :P
Makes me feel popular XD
I'm afraid I won't be anywhere near Australia that day. Otherwise I'd totally hang out with you on your birthday. I've had sucky birthdays before. (I was stranded on a small peninsula for my 18th, away from my friends. I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and got a cake from Safeway. Yeah...happy 18th Birthday....)
That was hard to deal with, but me and Him had a fun night playing Xbox and MtG.
Happy birthday on the 3rd.
And that was what I'd thought would happen to me. My original title for the journal was 'Short RTOZ Journal', but it didn't turn out that way XD
But what you did on Monday made up for it XD
Every fat nerd. Every fat nerd.*
*Not really. But it feels like it every time you see one.
