my little girlI had the most fun playing my six year old daughter the other day. When I taught my kids how to play Halo, I thought I would always be on the the good end of the learning curve, unfortunately it only still remains that way with my daughter, and only because she is six. Both my thirteen year old and my eight year old kick my ass on a regular basis these days, but I can still whoop up on my little girl pretty easily, so, she and I were playing Swords on Zanzibar, and it was the usual find NightDragon (thats her character name) and kill her. When the score was about 12 to 6, my lead ( and that was me letting her kill me 4 times) I decided to handicap myself. It gives you three options: minor, moderate, and severe. I choose severe. when the score was 20 to 12 her lead, I finally got another point. Playing her like that was probably the most fun we have had in a long time, because we both had to work at it. All she had to do was get one swing at me, before I stuck her twice with plasmas and swing once. The final score was 25 her to 16 me. I guess the whole point of this journal was to say thanks to Bungie for the handicap option. It both lets my daughter get better, and slows my sons down.
