What the fuck is wrong with people? For the past week and a half, I've been sending about ten threads a day, ten a day to RTDRB to be locked for being off topic, redundant, journal fodder, or otherwise not worth shitting on. Today I take the day off from my self-appointed reporting duties, and when I come to the forums I see the Red vs Blue and Sponsor Forum overrun by threads that have no place being there. Why the fuck does anyone in the Red vs Blue forum care if the Chargers lost? And why are you stupid enough to make the post, when you have to preface it with "OT"?
Seriously, people need to read the fucking FAQs before they post. You know what? RT should make me a mod. I'd lock every single fucking thread started in a 48 hour period, just to make sure the forums stay clean for at least two days. Is that too much to ask?

It just makes me sick. HOW can people think so little?
And I'd support your modship. Just remember that I'd start sending you loads of crap threads to lock.
i know how you feeel DiMono. Back when Max was on aim more, i would send him 10-15 lockable posts a day.
I used to send threads for locking to Dark and DE, but I'd be making a list of threads while no mods were online, and just keep the list updating til one logged in.
And the sponsors forum is almost total crap at the moment. $10 aparently isn't enough to make people feel some respect for the RTP guys and make them THINK before they create something.
I've been on the forums since episode 8, and in that entire time, I haven't actually created a single thread. Not one. Because I don't do stuff like have websites of episode transcripts and things, I don't need to either! There is always something that you can post in, and with the amount of threads at the moment, there are at least two of each topic for you to choose from. Nightmare.
I wish there was some way all the IDIOTS on the forum could be controlled without being banned. By being banned, no one is improving, because more idiots will just show up, but if people could learn... oh wait nevermind, I guess that would require semi-intelligent people.
I agree with having mods from different timezones - we have that at a forum I hang around a lot, and it works really well. :D
Even though I don't know you that well, DiMono, I think you'd be an excellent mod.
Of course, I haven't even left my watchlist for several weeks. It's just not worth my time any more, especially on slow dialup.
And mods from other areas of the world would be nice too - there are a lot of times when no mods are on.
@BasketOfFish - I disagree with that, actually. Some new people don't like the mods because they can't stand the crap they see on the new site, and they say so (and lock it). They even use harsh language (oh no!). But many people, myself included, have a great deal of respect for them. They do an excellent job here.
Dude you WOULD make a kick ass Mod but don't you think that it would be too much?
I mean no offence to the other Mods out there but they are getting shat upon and leaving cause it seems like no one appreachs their efforts to control the fourms...
I even tryed to put my help in when the banme guy came in and get people to help me and insead of doing that they turned my thread into a Huge Mod Point war....
You just have to ask yourself if it is worth it.....
Godspeed DiMono! Godspeed!

The idiots keep coming!
*stays confined to watchlist and journals*
Usually in the evening here, the downtime on the site I'll come across a load of stuff with no mods around. Bt really, I could lock just about the entire first page of the RvB forum for various reasons.
The [/thread] get's used alot, but when I'm in that forum in particular how I wish for an [/forum]
If I see something that is particularly banworthy I'll check if any mods are online, but all too often there is just nobody around.
But you would make a good mod D.
