One down eleven to goWell finished with our first month in a couple of days. Right now I am the XO for HHT. Not bad since most warrants never serve in this position for an active unit. I would rather be in my shop but due to certain reasons I can't be in there right now. Hope that things get straighten soon. Other then that everything here is going okay. It is just like groundhogs day here. I do the same thing day after day. Which also leads to a boring journal entry. Wish there was more to write but thre is not. Just hope that the dawgs kick the tides a$$ tonight. Well that is all for now. Later

On the road againWell for those of you who did not know, I am back in Iraq. I am at COB Spiecher now. So if any of you are deployed over here in the area just look me up, we can enjoy a near beer together, there is always near beer at the dfac. I came on the advance party and yesterday was the first day my soldiers started to show up. They are coming in bunches and hopefully they will all be here before to long. So the next couple of days will be getting them into the swing of things here. I will be glad because haghing out and waiting on them has been a big pain. I know all of us are ready to take on the mission and run with it, and I know the ones we are releaving can't wait for us to take it over. Well got to get going to met some of my sodliers and show where things are. Will write more later.

my ticket out of hereWell I finally got my wish. I will be leaving here sometime this year between may- July for Fort Hood. I will be join a task force there. Also will have about five or six soldiers from here with me. I have nothing to do with them going they just got picked. As for me I had to do something so my family could stay in this area so my daughter can graduate from HS here. I will be going to hood by myself for training then I will deploy and after which I will return here to Fort Gordon. Hope this will either be my last or second to last deploment. I have been deployed for a good porition of my career, and it is about time to throw in the towel.

Down time at workWell since I have no incoming message traffic coming in tonight and all I have left to do is update my daily brief for tomorrow, I might as well write a few lines about how things are going. For starters I went over twenty years last Nov. and would have been out right now if I had of stayed in the Navy. As of right now I have about three more years to go since I joined the Army. Can't believe I have stayed in this long, I can remember when I would tell someone to shut up if they called me a lifer, yet here I am. The only thing I want to do now is to deploy, just my luck I picked an MOS that isn't needed in either of the two places I want to go in support of OIF or OEF. Then there is always Korea, been there done that for two years, don't want to do it again if I can avoid it. At least soccer season is starting soon so I will be busy with that. Hope to have a better season then I had with football and basketball. Don't even want to talk about either of them. Working nights sucks. But switch back and forth every month really sucks, by the time I get in the swing of the new shift I have to shift back to days. Well I guess I will start on my brief so i can get out of here on time, later.

Happ EasterWell it has been almost a year since I have made any jounal entries. Not alot has happiened during this last year. I did make another dot, to the surprise of a few other people I am sure. But I didn't become a chief to let people to walk over me or my soldiers. I really could care less what my OERs say as long as I can say I take care of my soldiers first. Besides I am a CW2 and have over 19 years of service and don't really care if I make CW3 or not, it would be nice but if it does not happen I will be okay. Just the Army, or I should say some leaders in the Army come up with stupid sh!t that I think is just bull crap to have the soldiers do, not like we don;t have a real mission or something. Don't get me wrong I enjoy being in the Army and leading my soldiers, it is that there are a few people in certain positions that I don't believe they should be in. Well I guess I have say enough about that. I will be talking to my career manager this coming week, hope I can get a TCS over to Iraq or Af. I have been stateside for almost two years and feel it is time to go back over there. I would go now but I have two things I want to happien before I leave, one to see my grandson born and two to see both of my soldiers I sent over to Af with another unit to return home safely. After both of them things happien I will be ready to go. Well that is about all I have for now, to all my brothers and sisters in arms who are deployed this Easter I wish for all of you to remain safe and and best luck till you can return home to your love ones.

if it wasn't for bad luckWe lost another soldier this last week, this one killed himself. I really don't think I even meet this guy. Just seems like since we got back nothing but bad luck has encased our BDE. I also found out that the senior warrant in my shop will be going to another shop, making me the senior guy. Not sure if I am ready for this or not. The other warrant in the shop is junior to me and like me came from a different service, him marines me navy. and we will be getting another junior warrant in the shop soon. Hope it all works out. Well got to run later ya'll.

all good things must come to an endToday our reserve component deactivates, this is the one that SGT Allen belong to. To all the soldiers of that component I wish you the best of luck to all in what ever the future holds for you. It is the reserves and national guards that help to take on some of the burden of deploying in support of our country's war on terrorism. We all have to leave family and friends but you have to leave your jobs and schools to help us, I for one would like to say to all of you, thank you for it.
