Woof, woof!
As it is that time of year, where high school seniors start getting all jumpy as they are pushed to apply for college... or else fail at life, being a senior myself, I joined all my peers in this ritual, yet, also being lazy, I only managed to apply early action for the one college that really mattered.
Since the time I knew you had to go to college to become a vet, I've been told to go to UGA. That might just be because my dad is a big Dawgs fan, but hopefully my direction was directed towards their good veterinarian program. Nonetheless, I've never really considered any other college. Not for any real reason, really, just because that's the college my brain grew up on, and so when I went college searching this past year with my friends, despite seeing some colleges that would probably be cool to go to, I stuck with UGA.
So, I applied there (mainly getting my butt into gear to do that cause there was no essays if you did early action), and the date for finding out if you got in was today. When I logged onto the page, I found I could not log in, and could not figure out why. Finally I realized that I had a screen name in the place of my last name, and I changed this, and clicked "check my application status." It brought me to another page upon which was some unimportant information (at least I hope it was seeing as I didn't read it), and I clicked the button to go to my application status. That was the only time all day that I was nervous, was the moment before clicking that button. But I clicked, and behold, upon my screen burst a small slew of pixelated fireworks. I am in. The beginning of my life plans have been realized, and I'm pretty excited. Me and one of my friends (who I hope to room with) have even applied for housing already.
Bring on the scholarships.
