Nero Maxim: Action News Reporter!"I've got a boner... for the
truth"
Not really, just got some new stuff in the world of Me to report for anyone remotely interested. I'm pretty psyched about it, so I hope you find the news either inspirational or awesome or just kinda neat, I guess?
MOVING OUTOr in Canadian: "Movin' Oot"
So at least one of you knows I had had plans to move from my current residence in Ontario to Edmonton, Alberta (that's in Canada bt-dub) later this year.
Well as things were starting to progress i was getting nervous, and scared (I'm not ashamed to admit it). Its a big move going from living with mum to living on the other side of the country with your nearest family...

Its a big move going from living with mum to living on the other side of the country with your nearest family being 3000km away.
So I made the decision not to go right yet. I'm going to hold off for a year and a half or so and move out on my own here in this area so I can learn how to live on my own with somewhat of a safety net in place first.
I made that decision on Thursday.
On Friday I put a deposit down on an Apartment.
And I know what you're probably not thinking. "Wait, What? That's way too fast, gotta look around first!"
Well here's the thing. When you're stranded out in the middle of the ocean starving to death and a sea bass jumps out of the water and slaps you in the face, you eat that mofo.
On Friday morning, while looking at listings online, my dad found one that had only been up for 5 minutes, had no pictures, but it was in a spot he knew. So he convinced me to call in. I did, and I got a viewing for that evening at 7. Solid.
7 comes around and we walk into the apartment, and immediately we knew it was something special.
First door on the left after entering is the bedroom. Nicely painted in a sand color. Cozy...
WITH A MOTHERFUCKING SKYLIGHT. Did I mention that this is on the top floor of a 3-storey buiding? Oh yeah. it is. Nobody above me to stomp around. Underneath is just offices, so nobody to complain about the big guy (thats me) walking around.
Anyways, so moving on from there you walk straight ahead down the hallway from the entrance and there's a bathroom. Not a bad size for an apartment. A little timeworn, but right away they say "Oh yeah, they're replacing that sink before anyone moves in". Solid #2.
You exit the bathroom and turn right (or turn left if you're coming down the hall from the entrance), and suddenly
A BRAND NEW FUCKIN KITCHEN. New stove/fridge, counters, cupboards with new oak panelling. Nice.
You turn around and
BAM HOLY FUCK WHAT THE HELL?There's a bannister-thing. No wall... Three steps down and you're in the "loft" living room. Tall ceiling, two floor to ceiling windows. And an unobstructed view of the St Lawrence River.
Did I mention it's near the riverfront? Oh yeah. it's near the river front. And the view is unobstructed.
Now at this point you're probably thinking "How much does this palace in the sky cost? $1200 a month?". No my friends.
$675.
All. In. Clusive. So off Nero goes, down the elevator.
Yeah, there's an elevator.
Out the elevator and past the pool hall my friends and I exclusively hang out at.
Yeah, our hang out spot is literally 2 floors down.
And skip my way to the bank to get the money order.
Deposit paid, bitches. In one day that listing went up and down, and I got it (most likely, still a couple of application things to do.)
So that happened.
Second big thing of the weekend comes on the heels of this. We found a cool furniture store hidden away in Kingston where they sell second hand furniture but either restored or like-new. In this store I found amazingly conditioned, almost-new, 3-seater black leather couches for $350. For context, going to any regular furniture store, they would probably be $800. So, gonna get one of those too most likely.
Lastly. I've been playing Minecraft. it's cool.
SHAPOWIE!
