UT should kick that David guy out of their school. The Magnetic South Pole is in Antarctica and in 2005 was ~1500 miles from the Geographic South Pole. About every 100,000 years, the magnetic poles flip. So in 100,000 years, David and Brandon will be right. In short, Brandon, and David, you're wrong. Stop being dumb.
you guys stayed there........thats a horrible area and about NY that area is mostly the tourist area.....go to other areas and you can actually experience the real NY
drunken "what the fuck" stories, random stroked of luck, seeing lots of dicks, girl with a (possible) dick, cockblockers, inadvertantly flirting, joel stories, freaks coming to the booth.
seems like the typical Roosterteeth podcast. Awesome Approved
Guys, you do realize in a compass; the needle that POINTS TOWARDS THE NORTH is actually a magnet itself, and is split in half. the larger point that goes to north is the SOUTH half.
you can easily test this by getting a bar magnet, get the NORTH side of the magnet and hold it near the compass. the needle will point towards that as if that was 'North'
NOTE: if you do this for too long or if the magnet is too close/strong, it may fuck up the compass for a few hours.
Yeah, I live In Eugene Oregon, and people are fucking protesting at the Bank of America like a block away from my apartment building. It's not really surprising as Oregon has the highest unemployment rate in the country. I thought it was bad enough already not being able to walk half a block without seeing a hobo, now they all crowd around a block away from my house. I can actually look out of my window and see them. I don't mean to sound like a jerk or anything but this is starting to piss me off. It's their own damn fault and they know it. I don't see why they need to cause problems for everyone else.
Now scientists have concluded that starting with December 21, 2012 the poles will switch as they always do, but this will be a slow prodding process from what I gather. Brandon would technically be right in the next couple tens of thousands of years.
Brandon's arguement (not the magnetic pole one) on the effective of protesting really got me thinking. But i ended up having to put it as a Journal post as it was too long to put here. You can find it here
I would like to weigh in on this argument. I'm not saying that Brandon is necessarily right, but the way we label compasses is with an "N" on one side, indicating North, and an "S" on the other, indicating South. Now, since in terms of magnets, opposites attract, the conclusion can be drawn that because of the way we label directions, the labeled magnetic North pole is actually the magnetic South pole. However, there is not a deposit in Canada. In that regard, Brandon does not disappoint.
I like the spontaneous guests every week. Chris was great, he should be on the podcast more often. Along side with Michael, he tells really good story's.
Brandon has no clue what NYCPD is like...they have been waiting for the protests to seem like a threat so they can go and crack skulls. Maybe not all of them but I know enough that are just itching to break up some protesters.
