yea... that is december 20 something 2012. not happening for about another year. Besides, cheer up, listen to 'joe and jack meet the kinectanimals', always brightens the day.
In response to Burnie's comment about the Buffalo-Rochester area never losing power due to the power coming off of Niagara Falls, that's definitely not true. In the early 2003 during the big Northeast blackout, there was no power in that area, at least from Brockport to Irondequoit. I made a trip from my apartment to my aunt's house and had to dodge cars that didn't understand what to do when the traffic lights weren't working.
A direct response to Burnie, the practices of the church of Scientology have caused the deaths of people. That is to say, people who were injured could have had their lives saved, but died because of their practices.

I remember running the Anon events in DC, we were targeting parents that would bring in their kids with medical needs then deny the medical needs because of "religion". Also, kids with mental disabilities fall under a constantly name-changing Scientology Law (first known as the Protection Law) dictates that kids with mental disabilities should not get help and are ignored and put into dorms of children and people like them basically unguarded. When I say "Basically" I mean that they're put into the rooms, someone brings them bare minimum food occasionally, ect.., It's just above inhumane. But yeah. Scientology is a pretty fucked up "religion"

It only got popular there when they introduced "Tintin Stamp", kind of like the coupons you cut out of cereal boxes and whatnot.
But even before that, it was a returning comic in a Belgian newspaper.
I actually got a book for Christmas called "Children of Tintin" about the history. My mom's nephew interviewed people who Hergé (the writer) worked with back in the post-WWII years and he wrote a book about it. You can check it on amazon: www.amazon.co.uk/Kinderen-van-Kuifje-druk-1/dp/9057204231 (it's in Dutch though)
Happy New Year! Can't wait for Next Year's!
