You don't put your own gas in if you live/visit South Africa (I'm from there).
Every gas station has a number of gas attendants. They run up to your car, ask what type of gas you want and how much. You then give them your money. You never have to leave your car. They wash your windows while pumping your gas. Its common practice to tip them (but not required), and with the current exchange rate (7 rand = 1 dollar) you are really only tipping them about a dollar $1 for washing your windows and pumping your gas.
It helps provide work for those who need it (something the us could use). Self service gas stations are none existent there.

Solution: Move the company to New Jersey where it is legally required that an attendant pump your gas for you.
