I joined the Rooster Teeth site in September of 2004. Back then, the core focus was on Red vs. Blue and the community of fans that congregated around it. It was a wild and crazy place where I made and developed a lot of lifelong friendships.
The Rooster Teeth site as we know it today is so much more, and has the potential to be even greater. That’s where I come in.
Two days ago, I officially joined Rooster Teeth as the Website Content Manager. This is a completely new role, and I’m venturing into uncharted territory here. I’ll probably make some mistakes, but my goal is to bring you non-video content that kicks ass. Articles and posts that make you want to come back every day. You know, stuff that makes you lolololol or say, “Oh damn.”
So what does this mean for you?
It’s pretty common knowledge that this site wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for you all. We want to create content that you want to see. And to create content that you want to see, I need to know what you want to see. Do you want inside scoops on your favorite RT personalities? Memes? Recipes? Reactions and thoughts on news and pop culture events? Butts? Other (insert suggestion here)?
If you have thoughts, feel free to leave a comment on this post or message me directly. I’ll be experimenting with content on my journal, so please follow me and give me feedback on what’s working and what isn’t.
Words fail to convey how excited and inspired I am about this opportunity. Rooster Teeth is very near and dear to my heart, and I’m honored to play a part in its evolution. Thanks for helping me accomplish this.
