Looks like you'll have to wait a tiiiiiny bit longer to play Far Cry 5. Ubisoft announced today that the game will be delayed. Don't worry, though -- that delay won't be too terribly long, as the game is moving from February 27, 2018 to March 27, 2018.
According to Ubisoft: "the extra time will allow the team at Ubisoft Montreal to make some additional improvements that will bring the best, most ambitious Far Cry experience in line with the team’s original vision. We’re excited for fans to join the Resistance in Hope County, Montana against the Project at Eden’s Gate cult."
While it's no doubt disappointing for fans that the game will be out a tad later, it's probably also a tad disappointing for Ubisoft. Not only for the obvious reasons, but because this likely puts them that much closer to the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2. Previously, they'd said they were happy that Red Dead Redemption 2 being pushed out of 2018 was great for them and gave their games more space to breathe.
