Random appreciation journal.

Alix: Thank you for helping me out when I needed someone. I still carry that keychain around and think of you. <3

Barb: One of my first IRL friends from this site, you're awesome, you give good advice, and you're a lot of fun. Plus, you look good in a wig.

Jamie: You're a total sweetheart, fyi, tbqh.

Nick: I know your name. You're awesome, a lot of fun, and funny as hell. I really enjoy our MW2 sessions. Sorry I haven't been on much lately. I plan on changing that.

Trev: Why haven't we hung out yet? You've been in Chicago for how long now? Oh, also, enjoy the snow tomorrow, you fuck.

Ryan: One of the main reasons why I've enjoyed this site so much is...well...you. RvBTO wouldn't be the same without you, and not only because you've always let me stay in your place. You're awesome and always a lot of fun.

John: While I appreciate you for your hockey knowledge, I also like you because you're just a good guy in general. You're funny, kind, and caring...and just a good person.

Jason: I consider you one of my closest friends from the site and you're the only reason why I regret moving out of Texas. You're cool as hell, funny, easy to get along with, and a good friend.

Misty: We're not as close as we used to be, but I still really value our friendship. It's always nice to have a reason to go out to Des Moines...because without you or Kevan, I don't think I ever would've visited there.

Jim: You can pretty much always make me laugh. I won't lie...the first time we went to Kevan's, I was kind of worried that we'd get sick of each other in the car on the way there...but the entire time I had fun. Your beard tickles.

Kevan: You're a really fucking cool guy. Always willing to let me crash at your place...always in a good mood...always having fun...and always making the most out of what life gives you.

Britte: Quordinated.

Will: It's a shame we haven't gotten to meet yet. We'll have to remedy that soon. Plus, I imagine both of us will have some pretty good stories to tell. I always enjoy our chats on AIM/text, and I appreciate all your help about the military. If it wasn't for you, I probably never would've joined.

Kyle: You're probably one of the coolest people on this site. Before we met, I didn't really know who you were and honestly, I thought you were kind of a dick. Now I know you're cool as hell and funny to boot.

Fonch: I think I appreciate you more than you know. You're funny, witty, and sharp as a tack. I remember when we went out for lunch with the RT guys and I was all "I know this guy, but I don't know him." Now I just know you're awesome...and you can pretty much make me laugh at will.

Soxy: I'm sick of going to NYC to meet up for drinks with you. Come to Chicago you fuck.

Jackie: You're strong, smart, and always willing to listen. You're always giving good advice and I can always count on you for a good conversation. Thank you.

Vicki: The only thing I have against you is that you're a Wings fan. You've been incredibly helpful with this military thing. You're always willing to listen to me and give me feedback, and I really appreciate it. You, like Jason, are a really good friend.

If I missed you, it's nothing personal...but if I went through EVERYONE on my friends list, well, this journal wouldn't be quite so random, now would it?

I was sort of looking forward to joining the Army in my last few weeks. But I was also really nervous about whether or not I would even succeed.

I'm sure you're confident that you'll make it through, so this waiting must be mostly excitement for you.

MEPS is just the beginning of the suck. EVERYTHING is hurry up and wait, just like MEPS. But once you start embracing the suck, everything becomes bearable.

It's really fun in a lot of ways. I haven't started to really resent it yet, but I'm sure I will start to get annoyed at it eventually. But I'm also meeting a lot new and fun people, and learning how to advance my career. And, I'm getting in the best shape of my life down here. All in all, it's really not that bad at all.

And the funny thing about jerking off is how uncaring everybody is. Most people do it at least 3 times a week, and if they get caught it's nothing to be ashamed of.

dirty and sandy.

it's finally set in how little I'll be working around this place. LIke imagine the lightest workday you've ever had working at any of your jobs, and take seven hours off of that day, and that's how much I work around here.

I think you're making the right choice, intel is the greatest. it's smaller than most other elements within the military and a little more removed, so there's a lot more comraderie than the other fields.

Sorry I never got back to you when I was back in Dallas, though.

Just so you know JSG is likely to be trade bait at the deadline mostly because he has said it's either him or Hiller. One of use has to go. Considering how well Hiller did last year I highly doubt they keep JSG.

Those are just a bunch of kiss up fanboys, which I really hate. I won't forget when I got crazy negged for saying the Mini-Series was good, but disappointing as well. I only said that because I know that RT can do a lot better.
