27 year-old male from England
Hi. Im a recovering alcoholic now into 7 months of sobriety. I am to go back to university to do graphic design/animation. Im a massive fan of science fiction, so hopefully I will be able to incorporate that into the work that I do at some stage. I have delusions that one day I am going to make a film using animation.
Im a huge fan of Korean cinema, but I think it would be hard to start animating in Korea....for the moment | Latest Post | |

I need women and gay people.....2
The series that I am creating is primarly for
women 20-30 and homosexuals 25-45.
the series will first be a comedy series but since I am British, one genre just isn't enough for me to tackle.
The reasons I am doing this are just as complicated as how I envision my art to be.
1. I truely believe that the media isn't doing enough to generate the advancement of the roles that women/gay people in TV, games, film. ETC
2. I believe that shock comedy animation, has exploded to the full extent it can do. Since family guy, the humor seems to be replicated in 2 ways.
A) make jokes as fast as possible.
B) Be negative. Ridicule do not promote positivity.
I dont feel another product has much of a chance of success because;
the supply swamps the demand.
3. Through observations I have made about consumer demands for women, and the light observations I have made of gay culture - I believe I am working on a successful formula that I can use to target female/gay audiences and supply them with something that will help the communities, that I am trying to entertain.
4. Targeting male audiences is boring. Plus there is enough being made for you, there will always be media made for you.
5. The most importaint people in my life are:
*My mother. I was raised in a single parent enviroment. She was my only source of true strength.
*A Lesbian, whom I fell in love with. She stuck with me, even though I abused her mentally and physically through my alcoholism.
*A Gay man who is my best friend. Without his help, I would have never recovered as an alcoholic.
I make this for them.
6. If I succeed in entertaining the most diverse subculture on the planet and at the same time - make them think..... I have proved my integrity as an artist on so many levels, people will rip their own arms off just to get me on their next project.
muhahahahahaha.
I need advice from women and gay people about everything that they think is important, everything that makes them laugh, everything that they would like to share that motivates them.
I think you get the picture.
The only thing I am concerned about is people's ages.
If you are under the age of consent, I ask you to make the topics of discussion things that will not get me jail time.
I am prepared to go to great lengths to make this work, but I would like to do it without becoming someone's cell-wife.
