Dear RVB
I realize i have been neglecting you again. So here, have a copypasta'd story from my livejournal

So for my birthday back in December Chase ( boyfriend ) got us V.I.P tickets for the Sin City rave, which was supposed to my first rave ever. We ended up going to Together As One for New Year’s and I’m glad we did because I really loved it and after TAO couldn’t WAIT for Sin City. I mean VIP rave tickets! EEEE!
Sin City was Saturday (the 2/28) and it conflicted with a lot of things (like CondorCon and a friends bday party and some other stuff) which Chase and I went ahead and politely declined because omg sin city. We got custom contacts and $80 worth of glowstuff and put on glowpaint and hair gel and I made a lot of my outfit and we were totally amped! I spent longer getting ready for this thing than I did for senior prom. Well, almost. My senior prom dress took longer to make. Anyway, here we are before heading up to San Bernadino to party:

And lights out

After the hour and a half of driving we park and walk down the length of the gen. admission line to the VIP line. Except nobody knows if the VIP line is actually a line or what, it’s more of a cluster of VIP sort of alongside the regular line. One security guy says there is no VIP line, others don’t know, a passing sheriff who was heading to the front of the line gave us a thumbs up that we were in the right place when he asked the door guards. The thing is, after an hour and a half only three people had been let in.

I had to go to the bathroom like crazy so I went for a walk to find one. The closest bathroom was about half a mile a way in a gas station. About halfway there I realized that walking alone through the sketchy mostly unlit and deserted streets was a pretty fucking stupid idea given how I was dressed (shouted comments and a group of guys in a van following me for a while also helped me figure this out). I get to the station, where the bathroom was blocked off by stacks of boxes and the woman working there speaks only Spanish. Nice! Some other ravers were there and they said that Sin City was at capacity and nobody else was going to be let in. Our experience in line verifies that well. They also said there’s another rave, Garden of Eden, just another couple exits down the freeway that was pretty cheap to get in to.

I call Chase and let him know and we decide to try for Garden of Eden, since we’ve been in line for almost two hours and have made no progress and I will die if we don’t find a bathroom. We get off on the exit and stop at another gas station, which has a guy standing outside just holding a fluffy black cat which I do not pet because he will kill me because he is scary. We get more directions from the police to get to this new rave (also, we can hear the music from the parking lot haha) and go to Pharohs where it is held. It’s $20 for parking, which is roar. But there’s no line! We get to security, and remember all those glowsticks? Yeah, we have to throw them away. All of them. No glowsticks allowed in because they sell them inside. UM HAI WHAT KIND OF RAVE IS THIS? Then they tell us we can’t have our camera either. We’re both dispirited so when we get to the car to put it back we just decide to go home.

Nikki texts me that the bday party is still happening and good times and alcohol, so the hour and a half later when we get back to Irvine we swing by long enough for a few drinks and a couple lols and then go home and to bed.

Next day we decide to try to salvage the weekend by going to Disneyland since we have season passes. This also gives us an excuse to wear our contacts somewhere other than the rave line.
zoom for my lenses!

Except it takes us almost an hour to get to parking after getting off the freeway because the structure is full. When we get inside we find out it’s because there’s some sort of cheerleader national something going on and the place is SWAMPED with jr high and high school cheerleaders. So many stereotypes were met by the troops glittering all over the place LIKE OMG DISNEEEEEY! Still, it was kind of fun. We left around 8 to meet up with my brother at 9 for dinner at Lucille’s. Dinner was okay, but when we get back to my apartment to get my car (chase had been driving so I was street parked for the weekend) we found that my car had been egged. YAY. I got it washed because I took it in for service on Friday so now I need to do it again.

Anyway, that’s my weekend. How was yours?

Just as an update as of 3/3/09, Chase's credit card got stolen and i chipped my tooth this morning :3
