Ultra Quick Update! Been going to school, more specifically ITT Technical Institute over in Lake Mary, FL. I'm majoring in Computer Network Systems, and plan on continuing after the initial 2 years to get my bachelors, for a total of 4 years of school.
I regret not doing this earlier in my life, but I feel that I don't believe I would have taken it as seriously, or truly understood what a great responsibility and change this all is if I did it when I was 18. I was a cocky, smartass who hated everyone when I was 18. Granted, not much has changed, but I have so much more respect for those who bust their ass and get shit done now that I would never have listened to my instructors back then.
I'm averaging a 4.0 GPA, and intend to keep it that way. I also got a wicked cool internship in a Support/Help Desk role for a pretty big national company that happens to be down the road. We do IT work for IT Workers, and don't deal with actual customers. It's pretty awesome. You'd be surprised how much is actually in the Manual for a program/system tho, and I'm essentially just quoting that material to close out 90% of my service tickets. lol.
That's the update. I'm uber busy. To quote myself from FaceBook: "My Life: It's like hopping on an uneven piece of plywood atop a bouncy ball on the tip of a cone while juggling chainsaws over a pit of acid. Must...remain.....focused!! Oooh, a kitty! *CRASH!*"
