Ultramegamon
28 year-old male from Dayton, OH
If you haven't read already, my name's Ultramegamon. But you may simply call me "U." Like a James Bond character, or something. Yeah right...I'm nowhere near that cool.

I'm kind of a man-about-town, one who enjoys spending time with other people that I don't hate. I'm constantly on the prowl for other people who share the desire to connect with other people. If you're a fan of sushi, that's a total plus!

If you like what you read, shoot me a message and we'll take things from there. I must warn you, though...no tongue on the first date. I'm not easy.

There's only one point to life. And it's as simple and equally complex as we could ever make it out to be. The point is this...to LIVE. To fucking LIVE.

I got into a discussion (or a diss-fest, if you will) with a friend last night that's been bothering me all through the night. It made me realize something about him, though. Something I've come to realize about many of my friends. They live in bubbles. Air-tight comfort bubbles that cannot be penetrated by any outside evils and from which they themselves cannot escape. It's sad.

When I'm a 70-something-year-old man whithering away in a hospital bed, I don't want to look back on my life and be able to count all my good memories on one hand. I don't want to think to a certain time and wish I had done things differently. I don't want to have missed out on opportunities for happiness.

And when I say happiness, I don't mean that which results from money, material possessions, or status. That shit doesn't make you happy. Being comfortable and openly honest with yourself makes you happy. Knowing that you're a genuinely good person make you happy. Being there for the ones you love - REALLY being there - makes you happy. That other shit is like getting a tattoo of a Chinese character you can't read or understand and showing it off to all of your friends in hopes that you'll recieve some vilification from the shallow compliments you recieve.

Some people are okay with spending extensive time alone to themselves. Some people are fine with playing video games until their fingers start to bleed and they have a caffeine crash. Some people are perfectly content with becoming familiar faces downtown. And to each their own, of course. Certainly, you should do that which makes you happy. I feel, however, there is something to be gained by bursting your comfort bubble and exploring what's outside of it. There's a lot to see out there. And you're not going to get to experience anything cooped up in the little tiny comfortable world you've built for yourself.

I'm poor, single, stuck in a job I hate, and musically frustrated. The other day, I even found a grey hair. But you know what? I'm happy. Despite all the reasons why I should be bitter and miserable, I'm as happy as I've ever been. The reason for that is because I'm living my life. Not wasting it.

I've popped my comfort bubble. I belong to the world now.
