It really gets under my skin when people bitch about design changes. The Let's Play logo is really nice. It's clean, sleek, and, above all, it's incredibly professional looking; especially in comparison to the past logo. While the previous one was whimsical and got the job done, this new one outshines it completely with its sudden versatility. It's still playful and fun, too, given the context of its conception. It has more to do with gaming and Let's Play than just Xbox, it cleverly combines three identifying points without taking away from the original D-Pad look, and it really suits the time. It's 2016 for the gods' sake.
It's like everyone with little to no design sense, or too much fucking nostalgia hates every little thing. I don't remember, but was there this much shit back when Achievement Hunter's logo changed? Maybe it's a matter of number, now, but it doesn't make it any less infuriating to see these asshats continue to attempt spitting fire about something they can't control. It's insulting to the brand and to the designer.
Even though I know the majority of these screamers will grow used to the change in a few weeks or so, and even though this is going to read like I'm just another pretentious design student, I stand by what I'm saying.
I love the logo, and I can't wait to see what all they can do with it.
