It has just occurred to me, while I was perusing the depths of the Achievement Hunter archives, that I've been on this site for just over 4 years, and I have yet to make a journal post. Well, here's my introduction to myself.
My name is Wyatt, and I live in a small town in the northern part of the state of Oregon. I've actually lived here for all 22 years of my life. By small town, I mean that I live 4 hours south of Seattle, and 3 hours east of Portland. Not much to do out here.
Most people call me Smurf. Whether it be my personal friends, or the friends that I've made online (mostly Xbox Live). There's actually kind of a funny story behind that, which I may go into in a later journal post. For now, take solace in the fact that it's ironic I get called that, because I'm 6' 3" :D
I love playing all kinds of games, and I love that special feeling you get when an achievement pops for whatever game you're playing. Especially when you didn't look at the Achievement list, and you get a somewhat hard one without even realizing it. Right now, my favorite games to play are Destiny (Loving the Rise of Iron expansion. Gjallarhorn year 3 FTW), Forza Horizon 3 (which looks stunning), Final Fantasy XV when that releases, and ReCore.
I'm also in the middle of building a PC that I'll be using to record and stream. I'll be editing some things together and submitting them to the Community channel. I've got some pretty cool ideas.
That's about all I can think of for this "About Me" post xD Maybe I'll think of more later...
Oh! I'm also a moderator in a Twitch stream called SayNoToRage. The guy's a phenomenal streamer, and for the last year, he's been helping people in the Destiny community through the King's Fall raid, along with reviewing some AAA games as they come out. His philosophy is that gamers are going to be looking to streamers and YouTube for feedback on whether they should get games or not, so he tries to provide fairly unbiased opinions on such things. EDIT: Here's the link for his channel.
Anyway, I love RoosterTeeth, I love being a First member, and I really, really hope to be going to RTX this next year and meeting a lot of you people. <3
