I want to thank everyone SO MUCH for watching the first season of Always Open. It was very nerve-wracking to host a show for the first time, especially one that's unlike anything else we do at Rooster Teeth, and something I had no idea if people would like or not.
The cast & crew involved in this show are some of the best people ever; they've dedicated so much time and effort into making it possible, and they kick ass at it.
Thank you for being patient while we took a small break over the holidays. We wanted to take time to revamp things, evaluate how certain aspects of the show performed, and freshen segments up.
Season 2 starts this week, and with the premiere, you'll start to see some changes:
1. NEW TIME/DAY!
Always Open will now be THURSDAYS at 11 a.m. CT for FIRST members, followed by public on YouTube 24 hours later (Fridays at 11 a.m. CT).
2. NEW SEGMENTS!
We're still keeping our current segments, but adding some new things here and there, including some fun games. We're always on the hunt for new, fun things to try on the show, so if you ever have ideas you think would work on the show, or a topic you'd like discussed, email [email protected]
3. NEW SET(ish)
We're going to be making slight adjustments/improvements to the set. These may happen in pieces over time, not all at once. Just giving you all a heads up about that now so you're not confused if you see small changes happening.
4. MORE GUESTS!
We love the opportunity to have fresh faces on the show, and we'll be continuing to do so this season. You can expect to meet new people from Rooster Teeth, as well as some outside guests we think you'll love.
I'm very excited to be continuing Always Open, and that's all thanks to you guys and your support. You guys make us excited and motivated to keep doing what we do.
Hugs and kisses and butt squeezes,

It's the series you've been waiting for... The Eleven Little Roosters begins...
Stick with us - this journal's got important details about the contest that runs alongside the series and its prizes.
We're so excited for everyone to experience this show; not just for the stellar 35+ member cast of all your favorite Rooster Teeth staff, but also because it's going to be quite the fun challenge to work on discovering clues and solving the extensive puzzle the team has built for the show.
You’re going to want to pay close attention to each episode and take part in the game, because the winners (both weekly winners and grand-prize winners) will receive awesome RT-related experiences and some exclusive signed items! And, since we have part of our audience (FIRST members) seeing it before everyone else, FIRST members will be entered into one pool to win, and everyone else, another pool.
1. Sign up for an account on RoosterTeeth.com (includes free accounts, too!)
2. Each week for 7 weeks, a survey will be available on roosterteeth.com/elr/selection (you must be logged in to see it!) Surveys will go live once new episodes premiere for FIRST members
-You may log ONE answer per survey
-The weekly survey will allow participants to select one "Assassin" (the killer for that episode) and one "Target" (the team to be eliminated by that killer)
3. There is a way to discover the PRECISE correct answers each week, and in order to do so, you will have to complete a handful of puzzles hidden in every episode, to uncover 5 images called the Haywood Files
4. If there is a tie for the grand prize, all tied players will be notified with a date & time for a tiebreaker to occur, and there will be a timed challenge. Details will be delivered to contestants if this does occur.
Weekly Winners (5 FIRST members, 5 non-FIRST members)
- Exclusive Eleven Little Roosters postcard signed by ELR cast members
- A video message from an ELR cast member posted on Social Media mentioning you and the other winners of the week (we'll also send it to your email!)
Grand Prize Winners (1 FIRST member, 1 non-FIRST member)
- 30 Minute Skype Hangout with Cast & Crew from the show
- Signed Episode 1 Script
- A special "Winner" Certificate that declares you as the champion
- Major bragging rights
Regardless of if you choose to play along, we know you all will enjoy the hell out of this show. It's got mystery, action, drama, humor..and even some romance. Wink.
Join us for the premiere on January 16th for FIRST members, and January 17th for the public!

I came to Rooster Teeth on December 12, 2011. That makes today my 5-year anniversary officially at the company. Whoa.
It's impossible to sum up the last 5 years, but I'll try it in 5 words: exhilarating, overwhelming, terrifying, rewarding, happy. Rooster Teeth and its community have impacted my life more than anything ever has, and likely more than anything ever will. It's hard to imagine my life any other way.
So much has changed since I started watching Rooster Teeth content in 2004, and just like many long-time fans, it's hard for me not to get nostalgic over certain aspects and miss the way some things used to be. However, I've also realized that in order to grow and thrive, you need to keep adapting, and changing, as long as what's important to you doesn't change. For me, that's the feeling of being part to the Rooster Teeth family. Feeling like I belong. That's what made me fall in love with this community so many years ago, and what continues to hold true for me.
I feel so fortunate, and grateful for you all; for supporting me, for supporting Rooster Teeth, and allowing me to be here and interact with you.
I look forward to many, many, many more years.

I leave for Germany tomorrow. This is the fist time I've ever been to Germany, and the first time I've been in Europe. (Hoping to change that within the next year - I want to see ALL the places!)
Michael, Lindsay and I will be guests at Connichi, which is an anime convention in Kassel, Germany. I hope to see some of you guys there! If any of you have been to Kassel, what are some fun things to do? We'll be there for a few days, so we got some time to explore.

It’s almost here-- the release of our brand new sci-fi comedy series, Crunch Time! It’s been a long time coming, and so much passion, creativity, and hard work has been put into this show. We can’t wait for you guys to finally see it.
With the premiere only a week away (September 11th) we wanted to fill you in on some exciting details.
Just like Day 5, we want to give everyone a chance to get a taste of what Crunch Time is like. Therefore, we’ve decided to make the first TWO episodes available for the public. Not only that, but they’ll BOTH be available to watch on September 11th!
If you dig it (which you will… believe me), you can sign up for a FIRST membership and be able to watch the entire season, BTS and extra episodes, as they comes out each week (and, of course, get all the other awesome FIRST member benefits).
But that’s not all…
For the first time ever, to give you guys more flexibility in how you might want to watch the show, Crunch Time will also be available to purchase episode by episode, each for $2.99 HD / $1.99 SD, on many of the popular digital download platforms the day after it airs on RoosterTeeth.com.
(Keep in mind, grabbing all the episodes will end up being almost as much as 6 months of FIRST membership. Hint hint… become a FIRST member, get more bang for your buck! Plus, the BTS and other extra episodes will ONLY be available for FIRST members)
To sum up:
- See the first TWO episodes of Crunch Time for free on September 11th
- Sign up for FIRST membership to see every other episode, and get all the other awesome benefits of FIRST
- You can also buy individual episodes, each for $2.99 HD / $1.99 SD, via popular digital platforms the day after the air date on RT
We’ll see you in one week for the premiere! Woo!
People draw me sometimes, and they are really good at it.

RT will sadly not be at Fan Expo this year :(

It's pretty hard, but can be harder/easier depending on your situation. If you have a company that wants to hire you and sponsor your Work Visa / pay for an immigration lawyer to handle it, it's easier. If you don't have a job offer and are just trying to get to the states.. it's...hard. Real hard.

We recognize the issues with our site - and we're working on them. We recently brought on more people for web development and I believe front-end design (if not soon). Believe me, it's understood it needs a lot of work, and a lot of it has begun. Many things to work on, but you will start seeing improvement as we go. Our goal is to make this feel like a home for everyone, both in watching content and being part of a community base. Changes be comin'!

Still working on it! It's gone through a few different changes through development, but it's getting there. I'd rather take time to make it something good than rush it out. We'll hopefully have something started this year. :)

You can't have an "all time best" thing when all of them are perfect and god-like.
