So where and how did you learn all these skills as an automechanic?
Took after my Dads. Both of them! I've been a mechanic for various manufacturers since I was old enough to drive.
I feel like I should never post in the car help thread again...When used turbos are bad juju and head gasket jobs on Audis got cheap.
Its okay, the pros will eventually take over. Least you don't blow up like I do.
You should see the morons I deal with in the Alcohol Thread, one of the few other places on the forum I hang out... So much idiocy.
Wow, i can only imagine! I think the issue is mostly because people have so much access to so much information anymore, everyone knows everything. People will see one thing on the net once and will take it as fact from that point on.
Boost barn? More like 'you don't know what you're doin'' barn. Lol. Jk jk.
Already told him that. He was just putting it on to try to get it to sell faster... I was like, IDK who would buy it sooner with the kit, cuz I know i would stop looking at it. Its a BMW from 2 Fast 2 Furious, so its a pretty neat car, but it just needs alot of help.Oh well, he just bought a turbo 350Z that I will be picking up in South Carolina on Tuesday, so the BMW is gonna be parked (thank god!).
Yup... we gave up. there was no unued ports on the filter block, and I couldn't figure it out. The kit was a stupid ebay kit that I told my friend NOT to buy anyway, so I was far from enthused about putting it on.
Do you know on the E36 2.8L, where to hit up an oil feed for the turbo?I was thinking off the VANOS, but that would mean having to get a different banjo bolt and a few diff fittings.
I should've done an Ls in my 240sx. I love v8 noise.
There are quite a few LS swapped E36's out there. Its a tight fit, but I have seen tighter (mainly LS7 in a Solstice, lol).
First, IDK how I haven't had you on watch... looks like that HPF M3 turned out nicely. I attempted to put a turbo kit on an E36 tonight, and I just don't see it happening. Its a cheap kit, and they didn't allow enough room for the intake and IC pipes to be run properly. Kinda sucks, I was excited to see the car move! Lol.Now were looking into V8 swaps for it...
I have got to figure out how to erase all the old post.ipad power activate!
U listed all ur movies thats in your room lolz
My parents go to Mexico every year, she got that phone for the same reason. Battery life seems like a common issue with the droid 2. With mine though, it takes a few hours of streaming video to kill it. Also her droid 2 has more apps running from the factory than my droid x.
Yeah, the X was oh-so-tempting, but I loved my D1, and the 2 was the closest thing I could get to it. The nice thing is that it's the Global version, so if I ever go to visit my gf in Costa Rica, I can take the phone with me and it'll work.
guess whos back? back again? oCABOOSEo is back
Yeah, that would be what I would be interested in, though. My shop has done a couple pretty stout AMG's, couple 10 second street cars. Sick stuff! I was looking for tuning software last night, but i can't find a whole lot.
Have you ever thought of doing performance Mercedes work? The thought has crossed my mind that if I were to open a shop, it would be along the lines of Mercedes performance. I think I would have a really tough time getting planted in that though, not having a name and all that, ya know?
