    • Thank you RTX

      Crueldragon

I didnt really do a final thoughts post because the forum for the guardians got all messed up with the site upgrade, but a thought hit me hard tonight.

I work a lot of conventions, between 7-9 a year and this being my 9th year doing them. The job comes with many ups and downs but ive never walked away from an event without a new experience. An entirely unique thing of doing RTX is that at the end of the event theres a group of attendees that stick around by the exit of the convention center, and every time a guardian comes out they all cheer like mad. I true rockstar experience. That alone was so kind that it brings the biggest dumb smile to my face every time i think of it.

Ive thought about RTX alot these last few weeks, but it only tonight that i remembered something that brought me to joyful tears. After i came out the door to the roaring cheers of the crowd i stepped aside to talk to some of the other guardians that were also just taking the experience in. I said goodbye to them and started what would be my final departure from the convention center. As i turned and walked i heard "HEY!". i turned to see a girl running out of the crowd, up to me, and as happy as could be, she said 'hey, youre that guardian that kept helping me find things all weekend!' , which i had remembered her face and i had told her where panels and stuff was at. "Thank you so much, i would have missed the panel i came all the way here for if you hadnt helped me" she said. "Thank you so much for saying that, glad you got to it!" "No, Thank you, you guys rock!" and she ran off and practically dove back into the crowd.

She was one of so many attendees that walked up to us and gave honest thank yous, and I wanted to be very clear when i say Thank YOU to all the other guardians that worked this event. My team, my leaders, and especially all the others who i didnt get to interact with. Its only a team effort that made these attendees so relaxed and grateful for all of the work that goes into running these events, that leads them to repeatedly thank and even cheer for us just for doing what we signed up to do.

Roosterteeth will always be close to my heart for having been apart of my life for so long, and its experiences like this that will stand out in my memories forever.

    • A million dollars, but...

So what if you get a million dollars, but for the rest of your life, any time you make any traffic violation a cop immediately pulls you over. Doesn't give you a ticket, but does kick you in the nuts.

Also, if you are riding in a car while someone else is driving, if they break any laws the same thing happens to you but they also get kicked in the nuts

Also, in the event of a female driver, they are magically given the same pain of a kick to the nut

So what if you get a million dollars, but for the rest of your life at every meal, there will be a hair in your food that you have to eat.

Also, you can't take it out to show anyone

Been keeping it kind of a low profile thing for no other reason than i had to focus on all the other events i had plans before it, but I'M COMING BACK TO RTX!.

Also, super honored to have been selected as a Guardian! Looking forward to simply everything, its going to be such a great event as its been every year.

I've been a huge fan of Monty's since i found his Haloid video back in the MySpace era. I got to meet him briefly at the 2nd RTX and told him that to this very day that the haloid video is on my MySpace page as well as tell him how much i loved his work. The news of his passing was a serious blow. His raw talent, ethics, and work he put into everything he did is truly inspirational. I grieve alongside all his fans, and i give my deepest sorry to his family and friends.

      I will miss you Monty

so with a few months to go, I'm currently lighter than i was by the first day of RTX. all in all i did a kind of crap job keeping it off, but this year i shall be slimmer none the less for that same day. my weigh in today was 301.2 solid, but i can do better.

XBOX fitness is awesome. i really enjoy the Mossa workouts. Add me on XBL and compete with my scores.

This was my journal post today

"Weigh in Wednesday is here once more, and i finally broke my first wall. weighed in at 299.5! super stoked and now i have my sights set at 280. this means a lot to me, i found out that last year i had weighed in at 345 on the scale i use now, so in less than a years time ive lost over 45 pounds.

Thanks have to go to FriscoFlame and Godsliltippy for their advice and encouragmeant. Thanks to everyone on the Fit4RTX group as well for sharing their stories, goals, and advice.

Keep going, keep fighting, we can do it!"

just wanted to share with you all and see how many people are still going. Fit4RTX was a great baseline for me, but next year is my true test for progress.

Rtx was fantastic once again! Everything ran super smooth. The guardians I don't think get enoughf credit for making sure every little detail ran perfectly.

Fit4RTX was successful for me. I forget how much I lost by the time the event started, but today I weighed in at 309. 23 lbs down, 9.1 more to my first milestone. I'm far from done yet. Prepare not to recognize me next year!

Yeah I moved down here when I was like real young, I still go up there from time to time. Also, here's some of the journals I've made in my time on the site. This is not an updated list, so there are probably a bunch that should be on there, but I just haven't had time to add them.

'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin is dead
Steve Irwin, the larger-than-life Australian who became known as the Crocodile Hunter, has died aged 44.
The father of two was filming off the coast of Australia when a stingray's barbed tail pierced his heart, wounding him fatally.
Born in Melbourne, Stephen Robert Irwin went on to become one of the few wildlife presenters to conquer America with his irrepressible persona and catchphrase: "Crikey!" His father, Bob Irwin, was a reptile enthusiast who moved with his family in 1970 to start a reptile park in Queensland. Irwin was surrounded by animals from an early age. For his sixth birthday, he was allowed to scrub a python and he spent his early years learning about reptiles from his father.
At the age of nine he was said to have begun learning how to catch crocodiles in the rivers of North Queensland at night.
