Also completely didn't realize that the book I gave the hardest time was written by Game of Thrones writer, George R.R. Martin!

    • Star Wars canon

      Fly

      I love Star Wars.

      Who doesn't anymore, right?

Anyway. Since Disney bought the franchise and set the extremely extensive Expanded Universe (from here on it will be referred to as the EU) on the backburner, I've been looking into what Disney is using as 'official' canon. Of course all of the movies are canon. Ep I-VII and Rogue One (Which currently ranks up to number 2 right behind Empire Strikes Back for me). The CGI shows are animated: The Clone Wars and Rebels. If you are older (like me) you might remember a series of animated shorts in between the release of Attack of The Clones and Revenge of The Sith drawn by Genndy Tartakovsky called Star Wars: Clone Wars (not canon) which had some amazing moments:

      Mace Windu vs Battle Droids

      Politics and Yoda Badassery

All of these can be found on Youtube

Anyway, not normally being a big fan of the EU, and I ended up liking Rogue One so much, I ended up buying the Kindle version of Catalyst: A Rogue One Story. At first it was very difficult to get into. A lot of politics, not too much action. Lots of set up for the Empire, etc, etc. Set before the Rogue One movie, it deals mostly with Orson Krennic and Galen Erso. How the "partnership" came to be and why.

Inside the book was a current timeline (not including the Marvel comics)

      1004363-1488036937653-wp_ss_20170225_000

Also after finding out that Netflix is taking The Clone Wars off of their instant queue on March 7th I decided it was time to finish that before it's gone and I don't know when it will be back...

To my surprise, the show is actually very good. Don't get me wrong... Season 1 is practically cringeworthy. Bad dialogue, battle droids become comedy relief on the same degree as Jar Jar... but once you get into Season 2 things start picking up. You get to see more of Emperor Chancellor Palpatine's long con game. More of Anakin's descent to The Dark Side. and a bit more politcs... and the voice actor for Anakin (Matt Lanter) is about 10 times better than Hayden Christensen. Seriously! I haven't heard him whine about sand once!

Anyway, this long post was actually meant to ask you guys: are you guys getting into the newer, more current EU? Have you watched the shows? Have you guys read the comics? Is there anything I definitely need to watch and/or pick up? Let's talk some Star Wars!

What's your favorite comic-book location? What is one you would choose to live in/at?

      Answered: Feb 20, 2017

Heroic Adventures in Illinois. They're graphic novel/ trade paperback selection is immense. If they don't have it they can try to get it for you. If I had to choose I might pick The Secret Stash

      Fly

... Through and through. Most of you know this about me. My favorite hero is Batman, a lot of you know this about me. Batman, like most heroes has a fairly large and diverse rogue's gallery, but he has one perfect foil. The Joker

Batman stands for order and justice while The Joker stands for chaos and anarchy. I'm going to post something that not everyone is going to agree with:

I'm perfectly fine with every adaptation of The Joker. Every. Single. One. Jared Leto's version included.

I think every actor that has portrayed The Joker has brought their own flavor to the character.

I will say that Hamill might be the most well rounded. Considering he is the actor that has had the most time with the character.

So what do you think? Who's your favorite villain? Do you have a least favorite portrayal of said character? Why or what didn't you like about that version?

    • Help! or not...

      Fly

Okay... It isn't a necessity. Or even serious...

I've struggled with body positivity issues pretty much all my life... I've always been skinny and even my own family made fun of me for it... I couldn't gain weight at all. I tried. I'd eat junk food, I'd eat double the servings at home or at school... people would joke saying I was eating like I was starving... but I had a high metabolism. If I gained any weight I'd have burned it off within the week. It wasn't until I met my wife that I become more comfortable in my own skin.

But as my wife got pregnant and less and less mobile, I did too. So I put on some weight. Primarily in the gut region. I filled out a little everywhere else... but the weight I gained around my stomach started bothering me a bit. Mostly when I got out of the shower because we've got a rather large mirror in the bathroom facing the tub. So the first thing I saw every day (Let's be honest, almost every day) was my gut. So, recently I've started doing something about getting into some shape that doesn't involve me looking like I have a beer gut even though I don't drink.

Since I haven't really run anywhere in the past 10 years (I used to be an endurance runner in high school) I decided to actually work on strength. I started with pushups. Man! Was that difficult... I had no idea how terribly out of shape I was. I'm too embarassed to how many I did (or didn't) to tell you. But I figured start small, right? I have a couple of sets of dumbbells and a jump rope... but I plan on going as far as I can without a gym membership. and with as little equipment as possible. So as of right now, I'm just using my own bodyweight: Pushups, situps, squats, jumps, planks, etc.

Anyway... to my point. I'm asking you guys to help me out by keeping me accountable. Maybe a stray comment. Perhaps a message asking If I've had my little workout today. Or even posting some workout inspiration! I am currently looking at three men as an inspiration.

Hugh Jackman because who doesn't want to look like that?

      49013.jpg

Ben Affleck in BVS. Because Batman.

      tumblr_inline_oc83y9dDMJ1r5ight_500.gif

and Chris Evans because DID YOU SEE THAT HELICOPTER CURL!?

      giphy.gif

Now I don't expect to ever look like those guys because 1) It's unrealistic. 2) They're are ways to make them look bigger and stronger through airbrushing and etc. (the director made Chris Evans wear a smaller shirt in the above scene so you could see the musculature through the fabric). and 3) I don't have the money to pay for a physical trainer.

I'm a comic book nerd and a movie nerd.... and a comic book movie nerd. I have the ability to discern comics and movies from real life fact. I don't necessarily have these expectations in myself... but I can see Ben Afflecks abs in the above pic and think... "One more crunch okay?"

So, do you workout? Do have any inspiration? What do you do? Let me know!

    • Back in the saddle

      Fly

After the holidays and Ruby's birthday I'm back on the working out thing. I quit soda (again) and finally made time for a rather short workout last night. Pushups of 3 different types (close. normal and offset) I can tell that the definition in my arms and chest is a bit down from my brief hiatus so I guess it's time to build that back up.

I also took some of my old shirts that don't really fit any more and turned them into something to help with my workout inspiration. I had an old Flash symbol shirt that has now become a tank top (Or a vest to those of you overseas) and turned an old Punisher shirt into a sleevless. If you're interested I'll post pictures of them later. If you're really interested I might make a quick tutorial on how I did it.

So in short I'm still doing it... but I'm miles away from my final goal. As a wise man once said: Keep moving forward.

    • DrHairz asked Fly a question

What is your favorite scary tale? For example, could be the myth that rumors spread to where it doesn't seem real. But something in the back of your mind always asks, "What if it is though?"

      Answered: Feb 11, 2017

As far as myths go... Vampires have always felt real to me. It seems ridiculous but stories of vampires are spread every corner of the world... That freaks me out. How can thousands of different lands and cultures have similar stories about the same creature?

After 7. And I can only play for maybe 2 matches. I strongly suggest the Arena game type... We should also round out our team of 5 with at least one or two Guardians and warriors with a couple of Hunters and Mages. I've been using Apollo (Hunter/ ranged DPS) and Ares (heavy Attucks with a decent buff) and Ymir (offensive tank)

Give me one of those gods and I should be pretty good to go. Overall I've played Apollo the most...

I'm on a spree of leaving comments on my friend's profiles. My mind's going crazy thinking of different things to say as I have about 211 friends and have many more still to go. I'm just letting my imagination run free and think of amazing compliments I give. So yeah, I'm pretty ok I'd say. Also, remember, you are awesome!

Now, seeing as i only have 16 strange coins and have yet to do the weekly for those coins it would be best to complete on level 30 so i can aquire the 9 coins. If not, then i guess i wait a while longer for it, aaannnnd oh well...

Heroic Adventures in Illinois. They're graphic novel/ trade paperback selection is immense. If they don't have it they can try to get it for you. If I had to choose I might pick The Secret Stash

As far as myths go... Vampires have always felt real to me. It seems ridiculous but stories of vampires are spread every corner of the world... That freaks me out. How can thousands of different lands and cultures have similar stories about the same creature?

It has. But I don't really play betas that much. It seems interesting and I might jump on... I think the last beta I played was The Division. The last one before that was Destiny.

Umm. Not really. St. Louis has some things I'm sure, but driving through St. Louis is a nightmare. We have an annual 4th of July weekend fair where all of the people I went to school with go to get drunk... about 45 minutes away there is an annual festival known as Strange Folk where different crafts and things are sold by craftmakers and artists. Kinda like an open air Etsy. That's pretty neat.

I don't. I listen to whatever. I mean that very seriously, not like that person in High School who says they like everything and then you make up a fake band name and they say "Oh I love them!"

I grew up around rockabilly: Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Roy Obrison, Hank Williams and Chuck Berry. Artists of that nature...

But my grandma listened to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. you know... Rat pack stuff. But she also listened to artists like Ray Charles, Quincy Jones and B.B. King

I picked up on 70's era rock from my dad: Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, The Doors, The Who, Hendrix, Joplin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, CSN&Y, Elton John, Billy Joel and even some Beatles stuff.

My mother loved the Rolling Stones, Bowie, Queen, Fleetwood Mac etc.

I found punk very intriguing after listening to The Clash. So I picked up stuff by the Sex Pistols, Ramones, Dead Kennedy's etc. Through that I found pop punk stuff (which I liked better than actual punk) So Fallout Boy, Lucky Boys Confusion, Rufio, Cartel, HelloGoodbye, Starting Line etc.

Eventually I started talking to indie girls and seeing what they liked (mostly because I found them cute) That's how I found Ok Go, Mae, Copeland, Straylight Run, Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, Gavin Degraw etc. Also known to me as "piano rock"

I started looking for something different and stumbled upon bands like Saosin, Atreyu, Every Time I Die, Maylene and The Sons of Disaster, Gallows, Norma Jean, Underoath, August Burns Red, Devil Wears Prada... etc.

Not too long after that I started listening to hip hop. This one has stuck with me the most... Common, Twista, Old Kanye (first 3 albums only), Jay Z's Blueprint albums, Eminem, Kid Cudi, Wale, Drake, Childish Gambino, Lupe Fiasco, Kendrick Lamar, Chance The Rapper, Future, MGK, Mac Miller, and a very little bit of Wiz. I don't smoke nearly enough pot for Wiz...

But I still listen to everything. I just find that certain music fits certain moods and situations better.

How are you the Keeper of Blades?

    | Asked by: DrHairz 2 months ago

It's a bit of a joke. The Oxford Comma Cafe, my all time favorite forum on the site has a running gag of "initiating" our newcomers through a bit of a sacrifice.

I jokingly gave a few of us that were in the original OCC (before the site switched over) a "Keeper" title. So I became the metaphorical "Keeper" of our sacrificial blade.

TLDR: It's a dumb inside joke. Fear not.

Ugh. This is a difficult question. Like very VERY difficult.

I could go two routes here. and since I'm not quite sure on the way that the question is framed. I'll write both out.

If I could adapt any comic series into a video game, I'd put together co-op version of an X-men game. You and up to three friends have to fight the Mutant Brotherhood to stop them from yada yada yada. The more players you have, the more devastating combos you can perform. Fastball Special anyone? Trick being you will encounter tougher and smarter enemies with more people in the game. Imagine an X-men game like Diablo/Borderlands. Of course, this game has already been done in the form of X-Men Legends. I'd just really like a remaster or even a new game in this style.

If I could adapt any comic arc or storyline I'd put together a two campaign single player game. In the Civil War storylines. You pick a side: Team Cap or Team Iron Man and play as various team members in various missions. Either freeing or capturing renegade super powered beings. You would have the ability to "command" other super powered individuals on your side kinda like Mass Effect: Go here, use this power, flank enemies from that side, etc.

Anytime I meet or chat with a community member. It is so surreal to me that I can hardly believe it. Almost two years ago I went down to Memphis and met two community members there and had a fantastic time. That also happened to be the weekend after my wife and I's successful IUI attempt.

Since then I've played D&D with community members, chatted over Skypee, and played online games with them. I've noticed and been noticed RT merch 'in the wild' and had a couple of quick conversations about how they happened to find RT.

So, in short, the coolest thing about being an RT fan is meeting the community members.

    Master's Degrees - worth it?

    | Asked by: Ratatoskr 2 months ago

I would say yes in the long run... I never went to college, but I know there are areas and jobs in my plant that I am not able to apply for because I don't have a degree.

Hmm. Using a straw or a sippy cup is pretty high on the list! She can also squeeze food from a pouch into her mouth all by herself. She's been walking since the very tail end of 9 months. And 'talking' quite a bit!

I've sorta been on a hiatus only because party prep for Ru's birthday is underway. I'll get back on schedule once I have more free time!

I think the games are accurate to an extent. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City for sure. Both of those were written by Paul Dini, who was a writer for many, many episodes of Batman The Animated Series.  The action in the games is very fluid, but something difficult to capture in any medium is just how smart Batman is. The games push you to use "Detective Mode" and lens filters on said mode.

I don't know if we'll have many more Batman games to be honest. Rocksteady finished their trilogy, Telltale's about to wrap up their series (If they haven't already). There's always Lego Batman I guess...

I think the most accurate Batman is Affleck. He has the physicality, the fluidity... We just need more detective work, less killing, and more Batman bringing the hurt on bad guys. He's so brutal...

I strongly doubt it. While the MCU is connected to the shows on Netflix and Agents of Shield... I HIGHLY doubt we're going to see Daredevil, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Robbie Reyes, Deathlok, etc, etc, etc.

Why? Because all of these are lesser known characters that might seem like risks in the movie universe. Look at the failures these names have brought upon the Marvel name in the past: Daredevil, The Punisher, Ghost Rider... While they're doing great now, on Netflix... I don't think they'll translate very well to the cinema.

For instance... Getting my stepdad to watch Iron Man was like pulling teeth. When he watched it, though... He loved it. He liked Captain America The First Avenger until Hydra's blue laser beam cannons.

He hasn't watched another one since. Now place yourself in the shoes of every person who hasn't dedicated 52 hours of their life to watch Daredevil season 1 and 2, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. They know practically nothing of these characters... While Netflix is giving them a perfect platform to show you 13 hours of what makes that character tick, a 2 hour movie would have to be EXTREMELY well written. and while Bog Iger said "If these characters become popular enough, they might get their own movies" I don't see them getting that popular.

Go ask your 6 year old cousin who their favorite superhero is. Now go ask your 85 year old grandma. Are they Daredevil or Ghost Rider? Probably not. Marvel is owned by Disney and you have to see that they're looking at this like a business, not comic book fans.

Would it be amazing to see? Of course!

Would I love to see it? Absolutely

But Will it happen? Probably not. Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams... but I don't see it in the 'bigger picture'

Top 5 Christmas films... Prepare yourself for a VERY unorthodox list.

    5. Home Alone: I was never a fan of Macaulay Culkin... But was a big fan of Joe Pesci. I have no idea why... But seeing a kid set traps that, in todays world, would end with him being sent to Guantanamo sounds like a Christmas classic to me!

    4. Harry Potter Series: I always found it odd that I loved watching the Harry Potter movies during Christmas time... but I guess it makes sense. There seems to be either Christmas presents being exchanged or Snow in just about every one of them...

    3. Muppet's A Christmas Carol: I love the Muppets. End of story

    2. Gremlins: Ah... Mogwais... Gotta love em!

    1. Die Hard and Die Hard 2: If you don't watch Die Hard every year on Christmas Eve... You cannot hang with my family. This movie is tradition.

I assume you could make a human Fighter or Rogue with really high STR, CON, WIS, and DEX. You can either buy some black clothes or take the Criminal background and they're given to you... Take proficiency in Stealth, Perception, Intimidation, Athletics and Acrobatics... I guess technically you could make a Batman-esque character. It would probably help if you rolled all 18's though.

and I'm going to bet we are! Eric and Lance are down... we seem to have pinned Ooaul into our group (as a bard) as well. I'll assume you're going to be there as well... and I'll (most likely) arrive fashionably late as always.

Dang... That's a tough one. I'd like to wait for Ruby to be old enough to at least remember some of it. But what I really want to do is have all 3 of us go backpacking through Europe together... Problem being, I'd want her to be in her late teens... and I don't think she'd have a great time backpacking through Europe with her parents. I can remember being 15-18 and not wanting to be around my parents. Hopefully we can head off the "I hate my parents" stage.

I haven't seen that many actually. In no particular order...

    I saw:

    Deadpool

    Batman V Superman

    Civil War

    Bad Moms

    Suicide Squad

    Jungle Book &

    X-Men Apocalypse

I think my least favorite was Suicide Squad... But I still liked it.

Do you want a real explanation? Or a fake one? Because I can bring a fake one to the table...

Fake explanation: Baytor, a demon from the underworld being released, enslaved all of Gotham using mind control and turned everyone in the city into squawking speakers in order to glorify himself and to throw off the character invoking God's Wrath in all of the continuities and timelines and earths in the DC Universe in the sole attempt of redeeming their earthly form to rid themselves of all of the evil done in their past lives... (A.K.A. The Spectre)

    the-spectre.jpg

Real explanation: Baytor is a demon from the DC Universe.

    Baytor_02.jpg

I believe he even ruled Hell at one point in time... Problem being Baytor doesn't have much of a vocabulary... His main focus being the words "I" "am" and almost always followed by a "Baytor". Sure the man of few words has said other things... but these are the most frequent.

    Remind you of someone?

    post-58050-I-am-Groot-smiling-gif-Imgur-

Anyway... The Spectre (Also known as one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe and he also happens to be God's Wrath Incarnate) happened to be in Gotham at the same time as Baytor. So, Baytor, being a demon and being a not-so-good individual was approached (along with three of his 'friends') by The Spectre on the sole mission of removing the demon spirit from Earth...

tt7iptca3xqswpb4dd4s.pngProblem is The Spectre didn't have any idea what Baytor actually looked like. So The Spectre approached the four and asked "Which of you is Baytor?"

Baytor being the one with the vocabulary limited to not much more than "I am Baytor" spilled the beans. Then one of his buddies said:

    pttc6bm00sz9vyncqmyz.png

At this point other Gothamites started shouting "I am Baytor!" To keep The Spectre from taking the demon... Even Bats:

    mbic1z2j3jbkf2w6atww.png

Why you may ask... I don't really know... But I do know that Batman and The Spectre aren't on the best terms.

    3560639-1892802536-30482.jpg

    batman-faces-off-with-the-spectre-4.jpg

    Get the point?

Her actually talking. She says 'Dada' when she sees me, 'Mama' when she's upset or hungry, and 'Baba' when she gets a bottle. But I honestly cannot wait for her to string together a sentence like "I love you Daddy"

    5. Assassins Creed

    4. Saints Row series

    3. Batman Arkham series

    2. Any Telltale game

    1. Mass Effect series

I think a lot of it has to do with how far people take it...

I believe "fandom" has to do with someone loving something openly (sometimes extremely so). Thoroughly enjoying everything they get from it. The enthusiasm while partaking in whatever it may be is different than say an 'obsession'

I see an obsession as taking things too far. Like

Let's say a 'fan' and an 'obsessive' both watch RWBY.

The fan might put off some social or other engagements on Saturday so they can see the newest episode of RWBY when it airs.

An obsessive might watch shut out the entire world while watching RWBY while cosplaying their favorite character and having their name legally changed to "Ruby Rose" and fall in love with Juane De Arc. And want to marry him in a RWBY themed wedding, and havy little baby Hunters and Huntresses... You get the point.

The difference can be very difficult to find. Obviously my examples are extremes...

TLDR; Fans really like something and enjoy it. Sometimes to the point of elitism. Obsessives take it to the point where they eat, sleep, breathe and live something. It's something you cannot survive without.

It's very difficult to think of a fairy tale or legend that hasn't already been told... But I've always been a fan of mythology. Disney tried with Hercules, but I wouldn't mind seeing more Greek mythology... Or maybe even some Egyptian mythology made into a movie...

And The Lion King was based off of Hamlet I believe...

I do play games, although, not as much as I once did due to being a parent.

I think my all around favorite would be the Mass Effect Trilogy.

What would I wish my employment to be...

Window repair man. So many windows get broken...

Is there such a thing as Superhero Destruction Insurance? Ooo. Or a contractor. As long as buildings are getting destroyed, there's always going to need to be someone to keep putting them up.

Well, I saw your post in the OCC against The Hulk. As far as I know absorbption would be very difficult. The Hulk's skin is impenetrable (depending on what storyline you follow).

In DC there is a villain known as Starro. I gigantic starfish that has babies that attach themselves to people. When attached Starro takes control of that persons mind. Those 'infected' gain the same abilities as the person pre-starfish/facehugger. There have been countless times Starro 'turned' many members of the JLA.

    ComiClash.php_.jpg

It would be very interesting if The Thing took over Starro... *shudders*

I can't really answer for Marvel... I don't know if they have a similar thing or not.

There was at one time a comic series based off of the John Carpenter movie but that was in the early 90's I believe...

My advice would be to start at the beginning! In 2011 DC relaunched fifty two new titles and dubbed it The New 52. For starters I would recommend Batman The Court of Owls Vol 1 (New 52), Action Comics vol 1.  And for something completely awesome, DC Comics: Bombshells Enlisted. It is just female superheroes set in World War 2 era. It's an interesting take.

If DC isn't your groove I would recommend Marvel's Civil War, Old Man Logan, Deadpool written by Brian Posehn, and the X-men run written by Joss Whedon.

If superheroes aren't your digs I recommend looking into Image comics: The Walking Dead (black and white so the gore is turned down... but graphic language), Nailbiter (gory but an amazing story), and Saga (Graphic gore, sex, violence, everything... but possibly the best writing in comics right now.)

Send me a PM and I'll give you a list of where to start!

I've always been a fan of fantasy stuff... So somewhere along the lines of Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley most likely.

Do you have a favourite sport?

    | Asked by: LCPeter 4 months ago

Hockey. I like "North American" football, and basketball as well.

This question took me a month to answer. Are you happy!? And I still don't have a clear answer for you...

There are lots of comic book heroes I'd love to see on the big screen. But there is one idea I've been thinking about for a while now. I've seen two fan theories that Cable and Deathstroke should be played by Jon Hamm.

    Jon-Hamm-Black-Mirror-Cable-1200x881.jpg

Well Joe Manganiello has already been cast as Deathstroke... but if someone at WB was smart, they'd pick up Jon Hamm to play The Question. A gritty noir tale about an OCD shizophrenic that believes every conspiracy theory that he crosses paths with... and wears a mask to make him look like a faceless man.

    the-question-new-52-2.jpg

Hmm. The year after I graduated high school I asked my mother (an English teacher) for graphic novels. She bought me Batman Long Halloween, Batman Year One and The Watchmen. She's partially the reason I'm into graphic novels/ trade paperbacks.

She also bought me a kindle... which I was using until fairly recently.

I don't like to think of presents as 'the worst'... But if I had to pick it would be along the lines of socks (Which I've come to enjoy in my 'older' age)

I don't know. I've never really been a fan of horror movies... I enjoyed the OG horror movies: Frankenstein, Dracula, The Mummy, etc. But I don't know... perhaps Cabin in The Woods? Underground bunker sort of thing? That's probably been my favorite horror movie in the past 10 years...

Not only does it sound good... But it is good. I have had it. The sweetness of the honey compliments the salty bacon very well.

1 Because you want to help everyone when we need notes! BTW would you mind putting that in the journal on Roll20?

2 Having never seen you in person... Sure. You'd make a terrific Santa

    3. That's tough... But probably the Mass Effect series.

He's a half-Orc Barbarian... Not Phil Collins! No one wants to hear a half-Orc sing!

Soon! Lady Fly and Ai are looking into taking a trip with the little one either this comin year or the next! Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Have you seen Doctor Strange yet?

    | Asked by: Xcalante 4 months ago

I have not. But Lady Fly and I have a date night this coming weekend. So far I've only been able to hook her in with the "not yet connected to MCU" items... Guardians, Jessica Jones, etc. I might be able to talk her into going if it isn't quite as connected as Captain America, Iron Man and The Avengers.

To be brutally honest, I'm not a huge Doctor Strange fan. I never really understood why people enjoyed him so much. But I plan on reading some of his stuff in preparation for the movie. I will say that what I've seen looks impressive from a visual standpoint... And being a fan of cinema I have a really hard time going to see a movie because "Ooo, pretty!" But from what I've heard, it's great.

so tl;dr- I want to see it on the 12th.

THAT's a tough question... But one thing has bugged me in Batman new 52. It starts 5-6 years after Bruce became "The Bat" (He started roughly 25 which would put him currently at 30-31.) but he's already had 4 Robin's!!! Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne!!!

I mean it makes sense if you adopted Dick Grayson when you were 26-27 and he was 16-17 making him a legal adult in a short amount of time, Jason Todd would die within the year he started at around the same age, Tim Drake would start at 15-ish and leave to join Teen Titans a year in and then get Damian Wayne at 10-12ish. Yeesh.

Which would mean that Batman had more sidekicks than I had girlfriends in high school...

Really? Do you have to ask? First let's go with (Like my man Jay-Z says) All Black Everything... Black shirt, suit, tie and shoes. and something along the lines of this mask...

    il_570xN.1028780976_hs6g.jpg

SOOO many answers. I'll start off by saying I love what my friends classify as 'girl pop' Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, etc.

But my deepest, darkest, guiltiest of pleasures would be Ke$ha and Limp Bizkit.

I don't mind FPS games. I play Destiny, Halo, etc... but as I got older, my competitive edge left. I'd much rather work together as a team to complete an objective than shoot other people with my friends.

My favorite version might have been OG pokemon Blue or Red.

    Gengar

    Machamp

    Vaporeon

    Venusaur

    Mewtwo

    Zapdos

Or something very similar to that...

I like pick up and play action adventure RPG's like Pokemon, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, the Batman Arkham games. etc.

I love having options to choose from, but not have to have hours and hours of backstory that I sort of have to understand to play the game.

Pokemon is simple load up your 6 characters with the most badass offensive moves out there and try to pummel your opponents while they pummel you.

Mass Effect 2 was the easiest of the 3 in my opinion. Someone hiding in cover? Use pull to yank them out and then use a bent concussive shot to knock them sky high. If that doesn't kill them... Them dropping from a hundred feet or so will.

Arkham Asylum, City and Knight allowed you to pick some skills that would help you in combat and you could spend "Wayne Tech points" to get better skills or gadgets. The better you got at taking out enemies, the more xp you got, meant more points you could get, which meant more skills... You get the idea...

Bringing a bit of my D&D character into this one...

I'd have a one handed warhammer and a buckler that extends out of my gauntlet. I could flip a switch and the warhammer becomes a Browning Automatic Rifle that's belt fed from, coincidentally, my belt.  barbara

I'd have to have some sort of Rage as a semblance. Like I totally black out and am a devastating destructive force, stronger, faster and angrier than I was before the switch was flipped. Each semblance has a downside right? Problem being is a I forget strategy and tactics in this rage and completely single out one target until I take it down or it does the same to me...

For the next 50 years we don't have a 'president'.

We take 25 democrats and 25 republicans from each state and put each of them in office for two weeks.

Jan 1st-15th we have a democratic United Leader,  16th-30th, republican United Leader and so on.

That way i don't have to hear people complain about who is voted. Don't like the leader? Wait 14 days and shut up.

A Defender Titan. I run with an auto rifle, normally Monte Carlo or something to that effect. and I carry a shotgun. Preferrably my Immobius. If I can lay my hands on a heavy machine gun with just the right stability and a slower fire rate with a heavy impact, I'll be in love...

I've sworn allegiance to New Monarchy but have had ties to Dead Orbit in the past... and I have multiple exotic pieces of armor... but my favorite is Armamentarium.

I am the best at what I do. Need some orbs of light? I'm spec'd to do just that. I have the chance to create orbs when I use a heavy weapon. I create orbs of light from punching things in the face. I create five orbs of light if I drop my Ward of Dawn just right. Walk through my shield and you can expect a shield from me. I am support and I lay down some pretty heavy fire when needed.

Dang... I'd be a busy man...

Hmmm. I have such a hard time relating to villains.. Mostly because I'm a pretty easy going... and I don't want to kill/maim/torture to get what I want but if I had to pick...

    1. Mr. Freeze: He's not trying to take over the world, or cover the entire planet in ice... He's only trying to save his last remaining speck of humanity, his wife.

    2. Magneto: Where Professor X/Charles Xavier is striving to gain a foothold for mutants to be socially accepted, Magneto/Erik Lehnsherr is forcing it upon the human race by killing anyone who tries to stop him. I understand Erik's frustration. His parents were killed by humans in Auschwitz. All of Erik's life centers around not being accepted because he was different. His mind is set... While he is fighting for equality, war isn't the way to bring it about.

I receive relaxation from certain types of ASMR-type videos. NEVER have I received my hair standing on end or feeling a type of chill or 'electricity' or tingly feeling from a video. I also dislike any video where people whisper into the mic to try to trigger ASMR feelings. It comes across as forced. I recieve relaxation from pressure being released... So I watch chiropractic videos (SoCal Chiropractic) and extraction of milia, cysts, pimples, etc videos (Dr. Sandra Lee).

I have come to the realization that nowhere is safe.

Let's go with Hogwarts. Hopefully I've got some magic in my blood... I'd be a travelling and self educating wizard.

I've always enjoyed peaceful places with lots of open land. There are places like that nearby... but I've also always enjoyed cooler temperatures... Maybe someplace like Maine. or New York (not the city) If it had to be out of the country maybe Scotland or Ireland... If New Zealand had amazing internet I'd go there...

    1. I'm at work. Weekends are slooooow days at work. I would much rather be playing GTA V with you... Trust me.

    2. That's tough. I have a few favorites. First off, I'm going to leave comic book movies off of this list. I consider that a entirely different topic. Now I'm at a crossroads. Should I go with favorite 'classic' action movies? Or more modern action movies? Screw it... Let's do both.

Classics For posterity's sake let's put the years of release in here... in case they try to reboot any more of these

    5. Point Break (1991)

    4. Red Dawn (1984)

    3. Lethal Weapon (1987)

    2. Aliens (1986)

    1. Die Hard (1988)

    5. Matrix

    4. John Wick

    3. Mad Max Fury Road

    2. The Raid 1and 2

    1. TIE: Lucky Number Slevin and The Man From Nowhere.

If you haven't seen these movies on this list, do yourself a favor, grab some popcorn and watch them. They're fantastic.

I normally prefer a baseball cap. I don't like the snapback kind... but I have been known to wear the occasional newsboy/cabbie style hat. I've personally always wanted to wear a derby but sadly don't have the cranium for it.
