I agree.. it's total voodoo magic.

and a shit load of electronic wizardry.

but I've been in a few of the previous Evo's and wasn't impressed, but the X definitely impressed the shit right out of me.

It certainly was good racing. However in the end the Skyline's were winning every race. When a Japanese built car beats Australian built Fords and holdens in an Australian racing championship the fans (rednecks) don't like it so much. So they developed the V8's...

I love my LGT's 5MT, coupled with a short throw shifter it's one of the most fun cars I've driven...I can't wait to see what she'll be like when I do a bit of suspension and brake work

Only thing that stand in the way is money smiley4.gif

Yea don't regurgitate what you saw in a supposed documentary in my pics.....do you even know that Zeitgeist means spirit of the times?

....spirit of these times is crazy, dispensed amongst those that will heed it to blind them. smiley6.gif

Yeah, but my previous Legacy didn't, which is why I was surprised. Do you know by chance if stainless steel brake lines help at all? I doubt they'll fix it completely, but I'm all for it if they help with stiffening that pedal any.

I am not sure yet. Seems to be the axle broke. I can't imagine I launched hard enough for 300 hp to break a stock axle... but, could have just been a fault in the casting or what not.

Yea I got the link to work. First drift show in the wet, ya know they do have something in common with NASCAR who also had their first major series race in the wet as well, in Montreal.

Seems the better drift 'racers' are those who actually have racing experience. Funny that. smiley0.gif

Racing is about speed and position, not form and judging sorry. But you can keep watching your glorified ballerinas. smiley8.gif

Colin was a racer not a drifter. When you drift in racing its not for flash its because it happens.

A proper screen is on the list of "to gets", but it is not a high priority the wall actually does pretty good.

That and funds are currently used up on the new car. smiley0.gif

Haha, no big turbo yet, but I got my hands on a pair of ej20g heads (built by ron @ axis racing, nothing to extreme, just nicely done). Hopefully they will go on sometime in May/June. And thats when its big(er) turbo time. The heads killed my bank account however (750 smiley2.gif )...so I have started picking up as many shifts as I can at work, and selling everything I decide I don't want anymore. God damn mod bug.

Your car is looking sick btw.

Im hoping that with a TD05, im not going to need a tune (ill be running at low boost), and as far as injectors are concerned, it shouldnt reach the fuel cut. This summer however, is when ill be getting injectors (probably something in the range of 740cc) and a walbro fuel pump. With the new heads, im guessing im going to be running the WRX ECU, so thats a handful of wiring, and probably an UTEC EMS. Hopefully that should take care of the tuning and keep the OBDII. I may just scratch the turbo upgrade for the moment, and just do it all at once, it will probably be easier on the engine since it would then have a proper tune.

Im guessing all my money from my internship this summer is going straight into my car. Now I just have to convince my dad that my sister needs a 2.2 OBS for her first car...

Its a 91, and I'm thinking front mount with a TD05 is the route i may be going. Hopefully this sumer, engine comes out and wrx heads go on and forged internals. Thats hopefully what Ill be going for.

Yea the only transition point is when he says a few things about people using semi religious terminology and etc.

    • SorvatS

But crucification was not devised from that, it existed at the time as a form of Roman capital punishment. (my point)

...its all assumptive. The view points of some one with a set idea...not to be taken as truth for the fact but like the ancient peoples beliefs a cobbling together of seemingly related articles. Made into a belief.

For arguments sake one could say similarities through cultures exist because they are a foretelling of something etc.

He discounts parts of history which are the reason for the Christian calender of events etc...
-Like fact is that Dec 25th was chosen as the date for Christmas because so many other pagan festivals (in Roman empire at the time). Its not like that was hidden.

I'm not here to convert your thoughts and beliefs but I just want to say (to make a long rant point longer smiley8.gif ) just because a video with seemingly correlated events/ideas portray something as indisputable doesn't make it so, its just like how you can view religion(s).

I haven't fully seen the rest, but I saw a bit of the 9/11 part. You don't need to have a religious population to be able to trick them, politicians (people of power) will use what ever means necessary to sway public opinion. You can look at atheist communist populations of past and present, similar outcomes. The people who made this are just implanting their ideals into what they see as the spirit of the times.

I got to this point of typing all that and noticed I don't care enough to really make any further effort about it. Think what you want. smiley1.gif

I really don't like admitting it, but it's more of a "knock" than a "tick".

to put it another way, it's louder than my Cherokee.

    • whatsapuma

Borla makes good stuff, but most of it's a bit too rich for my blood. I think I saw knock-offs for $160-180 US on ebay. Even if they're not as well engineered as Borla's, they look a lot better than the stock setup. As long as fit issues are minimal/nonexistant, they look worth every penny.

But right now I've got some noise I'm trying to diagnose. Don't know if it's a bearing, cam tappet, water pump, or what. Coolant loss is nonexistent, oil consumption looks fine, it's still faster than my brothers 2.4L wrangler, and my dummy lights are lighting up. One of these days I'll figure it out...

Yeah, I kinda figured that the 1.8's aren't hiding a lot of potential. But after seeing the factory manifold/y-pipe/whatever, I know there's some power to be had (the exhaust from bank one gets routed upstream, towards the bank two cylinders, where it merges).

But, yeah, thanks for the heads up on those sites!

I actually like my front end... just wish it had fog lights. I'm not in too much of a rush to do anything just yet (except maybe seats... my seat is REALLY haggard). My financial aid got boned and I'm still waiting on a third of my refund (half way through the semester!).

I might look into doing something to get me some more power. That whole "1.8 liters of fury".... eh. It'll handle everything I throw at it with no complaints, but it doesn't move the car with anything resembling authority. Of course, it's my winter beater, so that's probably for the better. And I've got my Supra for when I wanna go haul ass. And I've got the Monte for when I wanna go haul ass with passengers. I dunno. Right now I'm just enjoying the fuel economy (30 mpg, compared to 24 for the Supra and 21 for the Monte. Driving 110 miles a day that adds up!).

You wouldn't happen to know of any good forums/owners groups/online resources of some such for these cars, would you?

Dude, I got a ways to go before I have to worry about losing the "sleeper look".

I got a '97 Impreza. Little 2 door, AWD, stick (thank christ!). She's a stripper. Tan cloth interior, intermittent wipers with no adjustment, manual windows, manual locks, manual trunk (with no light? WTF?), no oil pressure gauge, no tach (!), no spoiler on the trunk lid, no fog lights.... it's a bare-bones car with air conditioning. From the ten miles I've driven it, it's solid, though. It'll be on the road tomorrow or thursday, so I'll see how it goes from there.
