      Geek, Nerd, Loser. Where do you draw the line?

      I recall that in a time not so long ago I used to group these terms together. However with the widespread of the internet these terms drew further apart. Where some take pride in being nerds and geeks. Growing from fat old dudes sitting in the basement surrounded by wires and figurines hiding away from light, to a rich culture surrounding cool stuff; video games, movies, anime, technology and so on.

      So where do you draw the line? Whats lame that steps from the realm of Geeks and Nerds to losers.

      Personally I would not consider myself any of the above although I have been know to partake on rare occasion in nerdgasmic activities. Gotta keep an open mind you know.

      Hey, lately I find that I just have no idea what to do when I get on the internet (yes im aware that there is porn on here). I was woundering what sites you visit and how you spend your time on here, becouse right now im just going between rooster teeth and youtube as my main sites.

      Losing intrest in video games?

      Anyone else finds themselves losing interest in video games, I for one though I would be playing games well into my old age. Now I find the only reason I turn on my console if I do at all is to chat to friends rarely bothering to put in a game. Strange to think how a while back it felt like my life revolved around games.

      Meals in pill form

      Ok, when is this going to happen. I mean I cant be the only one that wants this. Eating is too complicated. I just want some kind of pill or a unit of food that says how many calories how much protein, carbs, fats and protein with say a regular and sports version. I mean how cool would it be not to worry about food or reading labels ever again. I mean this is wishful thinking on my part but how great would it be.

      Videos on the site not playing on iPad 2

      I have the latest version of ios installed. Anyone has experienced this or knows how to fix this? I can see the video however when I click the the play symbol it disapers but the video is stuck in the thumbnail.

      Some lines and characters feel off?

      First off the classic RvB writing and acting are top notch although I am missing some of that casual banter but I do love the animated freelancer story too much to complain.

      However when I watch the freelancer segments some of the lines just throw me off. Like from the beginning I saw the director as this calm and collected slightly sinister genius with this air of mystery around him. Somewhat like the elusive man in mass effect. However in episode four when the ship was attacked and he swore and seemed totally blown out the water. I expected him to grit his teeth and for a moment and then give plan b like he was expecting it all along. I was hoping it was just a once in a while but it just seems like he just becoming more rowdy with every episode.

      The freelancers also seem to suffer a bit from this awkward line syndrome. I guess it looks so professional that I forget that it’s the same guys that started working from the bedroom making this. Voice acting is great 90% of the time but does anyone else notice how some actors trail off at the end of some lines, on occasion someone may be speaking as if they were really there in the scene and then just go to a plain tone near the end.

      I guess I may be grabbing at straws but after being a big halo fan and having the back-story of the spartans in my head I guess I end up making comparisons forgetting that this is a comedy show after all.

      The Perfect Zombie Apocalypse Simulator

      After spending days watching lets plays from ARMA 2 DayZ mod I got thinking just what would make the perfect zombie apocalypse simulator. My though went from damage and health which are done very well already to weapon condition(not every weapon is going to be shiny and new after a zombie apocalypse) should they degrade... Possibly add the ability to build your own weapons.

      Another thing I though about is spawn times for everything and everyone and item locations. Possibly include karma or maybe a sanity meter of sorts that will add a negative effect on murdering survivors severity varying on how many people you killed not counting self-defence? Zombies should be able to spawn everywhere just density should vary for a example a few stray zombies in the woods and a horde in the middle of the city no place should be safe. Every building should be enterable, but some should be locked and broken into for example you will need a crowbar that you have to find to brake a door open or you will have to brake a window that will make alot of noise. Item spawn should be random a bit like Left 4 Dead with no guarantee of an item spawning at all in certain places (unlike left 4 dead). Possibly if you have wood and nails add an ability to barricade yourself in.

      Respawn timer of 10-30 minutes to prevent freshly spawned players being tempted to kill anything they see as they have nothing to lose. Promote teamwork and discourage random killing but keep that element in the game. It just seems if you are a survivor you would be happy to find anybody that isn’t a zombie, possibly by changing the zombies up making encounters will survivors less frequent. Nothing major just nudge it in that direction. Zombie’s should move like zombies not do random zigzags.

      If you disconnect during a fight or while you a chased by zombies you will remain in the world for another 30 seconds to prevent DC cheaters.

      Proximity chat, you can only communicate within shouting distance –possibly include the ability to make radios to talk to other survivors anywhere on the map that also have a radio, ability to change frequencies, finding walkie talkies on military personal.

      Thats some of the ideas floating in my head of how DayZ can be improved or possibly if another game is made with this idea what it may hold. This is based on what I have seen and heard and my own ideas. I sadly have no way to play DayZ but hopefully some developer catches on to this idea. I doubt in can be made on consoles but I can dream but I welcome any version all the same.
