Sorry I been gone Roosterteeth.
I know you missed me baby, but don't worry I'm back, and this time it's gonna be different.
Oh how I been? I been pretty good...
But in all seriousness sorry that I havent been around in a long time. If you sent me a message anytime in the past year I'll be replying by this weekend. Additionally I will be uploading a metric shitton of photos that are long overdue.
So I been trying to get my life together and heres the short list of the past year: Finished my Master's Degree, Looking for job in consulting, starting a youtube channel, trying to do some painting for this year, repairing the HEV suit that broke before RTX last year, Had surgery on my knee, Volunteering as a Specter for Side Quest at RTX this year, and trying to get the hell out of this town.
Oh and my goals for 2013:
1. Get a job in Management Consulting in Austin, Portland, Seattle, or the NY/NJ Area by July.
2. Recooup my Knee to be able to run 2 Miles
3. Get back to 185 lbs
4. Post 2-4 vids a Month to My Youtube channel and 2 to the AH Community
5. 1000 point a game.

...and I'm really excited, but at the same time dreading it's proximity. I can't wait to see most of you folks who I've made good friends with over the past few months, and am excited to spend time with one of the most awesome communities around.
BUT...My donation for the Child's Play Auction has a bit of work left, and I worry that I'm gonna not get it done in time. However, I always worry about finishing projects and have yet to fail at meeting a deadline. Expect to see some awesome pictures go up here and on my blog (that has remained very quiet) next week. I will be starting to post all of my process and progress pictures over there, starting next week in a attempt to build a little bit of hype for my donation to Child's Play. Mr. Freeman's Crowbar will be done by next Wednesday (6/20) and the suit itself will be completely painted that Saturday (6/23) leaving that week leading up to RTX for final assembly.
So in other news...
I finally went and finished setting up my server for Minecraft on the PC. We are running the Tekkit Mod pack and having a lot of fun. If you want to join let me know and I'll give you the needed information.
I since the last post I also am dating the most awesome woman I know now and am planning an amazing date for when we are both in Austin.
It's going to be this weekend before the pictures come up as the parts don't look quite good enough (I'm painting this weekend).

So I started a website cause I am working on making this (Prop making / costuming) more than just a passing thing. I am going to be posting on it once every few weeks the projects that I am currently working on.
In other news I am doing well my project are progressing nicely. The PEP models for my HEV suit are done and look nice, but unlike other projects around the web I am not building straight on that I am using them to base the project off of. I am going to build a nice silicon mold so that I can cast multiples off of it, and maybe sell one or 2 to make back the costs. Otherwise I will be cosplaying at RTX as Gordan Freeman, and bringing a second suit to auction off for child's play. In the end it is going to be made of fiberglass so it will be nice and durable.
The hobo leg has stalled out at a plaster cast because I am putting it on the back burner till I finish this suit for the auction because I feel it is a better cause. If it doesn't get done before RTX thats cool I'll just bring booze for the RT folks.
Since I am hitting the stage of this project (the HEV suit) that it slows while I make the molds it means that I will have time to make some other stuff on the side. So all 6 of the people that watch me: do you have a prop you want me to me? Suggestions have come in for Glass Swords from Skyrim, Grav Hammer from Halo, and a Ebony War Axe from Skyrim.
With the tickets going on sale tomorrow I figured I shoudl start this thread as a general place for folks to post if they have space in a car that is going down to RTX, and for folks to find and arrainge rides. So I guess I'll start it off.
I'm driving from Little Rock, AR down to Austin passing through Dallas. I am leaving Little Rock on Thursday and leaving Austin on Monday. I have space in my car for 3 people and you would be expected to help pay for gas (equal split between us). I am willing to go a little out of my way to get you and drop you off.

With RTX approaching in July I started to think how should I thank the people at RT for all of the hard work that they put into making fun and funny things to entertain me. Like many folks I thought to myself, "Hey maybe I'll go get them some booze. They love the booze." Then while I was thinking of what booze they could possible want. (I ended up thinking it should be whiskey of some sort)A thread appeared in the RTX forums about what people will bring to RTX. In that thread Aruseus493 brought the idea that someone should give them a hobo leg.
This is a reference to a old podcast (I can't remember what #, but here is the Animated Adventure for it. So off of that I figured that I would make them a fake hobo leg finally put that art degree to some use. I am planning on bringing this to RTX and presenting it to them there. So I am doing the standard research into how it should look and materials and such, so here is the plan.
Tl;DR Making a hobo leg trophy for the folks at RT, and I'm going to talk about it.
1) I am going to make a cast of a leg (don't know who's yet from around the knee area down.
2) Then I am going to build from the outside in layers of latex and paint for a few layers to create a skin look and feel.
3) Seal and fill the cast with expanding foam to make it solid and lightweight.
4) Cap off the end. with a nice severed bone or something.
5) Add some horror make-up to create scars, maybe a few cuts and bruises.
6) Add a stand so it can be displayed next to their machinima awards if they want.
7) Wrap it.
Sorry about the lack of photos here, but most of them wouldn't make sense to people. Once I get some sketches done I will upload those with the casting process in my next journal.
Currently, I am a Master's student living in Arkansas. Originally not from the area I come from NJ, and will probably be leaving here once I have my MPH. I have a BA in Fine Arts with a emphasis on sculpture and a suit of armor that stands in my apartment.
