But it will be weird if you just show up at RTX to meet everyone else and we know literally nothing about you.
My name is Jack. Well... my legal name is John, but nobody calls me that. I'm 27. I'm a pretty big introvert (I'm not anti-social, I just get drained after being around people for a long time). I've been a fan of Rooster Teeth since episode 1 of season 3 of Red vs Blue and I haven't stopped being a fan since.
I'm a pretty typical nerd; I like video games, surfing the web, comics (mainly DC), and even tabletop games. I like some anime but most of what I like is stuff that appears on American TV, not so much the more heavily Japanese stuff, the exception being Azumanga Daioh, which I love.
I'm not much of an athlete, but I like snowboarding (unfortunate because I've lived in hot climates for many years now), swimming, I used to be okay at tennis. Pretty much it.
I'm currently a college student, using my VA benefits to pursue a degree in sociology. Obviously, that means I used to be in the military, the Navy more specifically. I just got off of active duty last September. It was... something. Not what I wanted to make a career out of, obviously, but I feel like the time was valuable, even if it wasn't always enjoyable.
This will be my first RTX, as military stuff always kept me away in past years. I'm really looking forward to it and went all out, getting a VIP pass as soon as I could and everything. I live only a few hours from Austin so I'll be driving up. Don't think I'll be giving too many free rides though; I expect traffic to be a nightmare.
