      Memorial

What a weekend! I took off last Thursday for vacation. Today (Tuesday) was my first day back and man was it tough adjusting.

My friend JoJo came to visit me. We had an amazing time. A road trip to San Francisco along Pacific Coast Highway (crazy scenic), biking across the Golden gate bridge, the ferry ride back, Hiking through Big Sur, lounging on the beach, paddle boarding, eating like royalty. It was nonstop good times.

We've been friends since we first met in undergrad. Hard to consider it's been so long now. Maybe 8 years now? I know a LONG time ago she had a crush on me when I was with Joni. I kinda liked her too but I'm not the kind to cheat. Then when Joni and I weren't together she was in a relationship with a mutual friend, Evan. They broke up a while back and we were both sorta there for each other during our breakups.

I knew she would only be visiting for a short time but I think I still managed to fall for her. It's bittersweet. She's the first person I've had strong feelings for since Joni. I wasn't sure I could feel this way about someone else again. It was our comfortable friendship in the beginning of the trip as always. As things wore on there was this unspoken tension. By the middle of the trip we were sharing a bed. The next day we shared our first kiss...

Now she's back on the east coast. We've already texted that we miss each other but we've also both tried and failed at long distance relationships. I'm not sure where things are going for us. I just know it was one of the best weekends of my life and I wish I had her with me.

So it's already been 3 months since my last journal ><. I know I'm not active in this site anymore and I only really have myself to blame. I still stop every now and then and think about some online personalities I know and wonder how they are. Funny the world we live in today. I guess it's just like a time adapted version of a pen pal.

To all my Internet friends out there that still stop by. Hi ^_^. How've you been? Sorry I'm away so sporadically.

28 years ago i was BOBA (brought over by airplane). my (adoptive) parents always treated today like a second birthday almost. I view it like a second Thanksgiving. Usually I'd have a nice meal with my family and just be glad that I'm American.

This is my first full year away from my fam. My dad emailed me this morning to tell me he deposited money and though they're not there they still want me to celebrate. I was trying not to tear up at my desk.

My roommate is gone to visit his family for a week so it's unusually quiet. Jasan should be on his way over. He said 15 minutes about 20 minutes ago so he should actually be here in maybe the next 10-15 XD.

Hope you all have a splendid day!

So I was walking back to the office during my lunch break with my takeout when a homeless man stopped me. I remembered him from before. You see the first time I met him he asked me for cash saying he was hungry. I said I don't carry cash on my person but I have a minute to spare I can buy you food at the subway we're standing in front of. At that time he asked how much a sandwich was and I said about $6. He asked incredulous I didn't have $6. But I really didn't and he then declined my offer to walk in and buy some food.

Today he again said he was hungry and I offered again to buy his lunch and this time he said ok. He got a footlong, bag of chips, bottle of OJ, and a pack of cookies. I left him my bottle of Dasani water that came with my meal. His name is John. He got laid off from his job 7 months ago.

Got home from work yesterday and got a call from my friend right as I was parking my car. So basically my 'Friday' started immediately before I even got home. He came over and we smoked and drank some Black Lager from The Chive. KCCO beer. It was pretty good. Well Rachel, Natalie, and one of their friends Jenna randomly stopped by. We got to hanging out and decided to go out with them.

Mostly stuck to liquor instead of beer all night. Woke up somewhat hungover despite chugging water before bed and not really drinking all the much. Still trying to limit the spending till the next paycheck. Slept through the World Cup but was pleased to see Germany won. Cut my hair and cleaned the bathroom. Started making brunch when Taryn texted me that they were playing volleyball. So I did that most of the afternoon after eating. Then after that we went to dinner at a sushi place with some more friends. It was a good day.

I got back and my roommate wanted to go out but I just wasn't feeling the club after my busy day. I just want to chill at home and watch some videos and play some games. Hopefully I get paid tomorrow. I have bunch of bills I should pay and my roommate wants to go to a dispensary.

I'll try to write some more soon. I mostly wanted to write this journal now so it wasn't as crazy big on the next one. How'd everyone else fare this past weekend?

How was everyone's Fourth? Parking was insanity this past weekend. I had to park in a neighboring town in a parking deck and skate home. I really need to write these things more often so they're not as ginormous.

I went to happy hour with my boss and some coworkers for Korean bbq and then 'gentlemen's bar'. I ended up getting home real late so there was no parking. Used a meter one and woke up early to move it hoping to find a residential meter. NOPE. 1.5 hours later I was just praying to find a meter. NOPE. I actually have a sunburn mark from my seatbelt on the one side from just driving around trying to find parking. Finally gave up and drove a town over and used day parking then skateboarded home. Showered and met up with Rachel, my old neighbor, and some of her friends at the beach.

We had an ice chest and thermoses so we could drink the alcohol discreetly although no one really cared. Did a little swimming, got sunburn lol. Went back to Rachel's for a bbq and then we went to Sharkeez. Then to the beach for fireworks and back to Rachel's. Got home and watched some videos then sleep.

I worked Saturday but it was so dead I left around 1pm and worked remotely the rest of the shift. Stayed indoors nursing my sunburn and watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Xmen: Days of Future Past. I think I could endlessly watch video of the xmen fighting sentinels.

Sunday was a lot of the same. Yesterday I went to lunch with my friend Jasan. We ate at The Fish Shop. It's crazy awesome. A little pricey but sooo good. Their fish is always super fresh guaranteed i think the waitress said 48 hours between capture and being prepared in their restaurant. Tis good to live at the beach. We had a nice little siesta back at my place and then went to Sharkeez. They had beer pong and flip cup and since we were a 'party' we got these event wristbands that extended happyhour for like two hours. I didn't shake my hangover today until around 3:30pm. It was quite brutal. I haven't drunk that much in a long time.

I think this novel is long enough so I'm signing off for now!

Already been a month since my last entry? Where does the time go?

Officially been a resident of Cali for one year now. Went out last night to celebrate which made work today kinda rough but oh well. Oh yeah since we're in July now that means it's been over half a year since I quit cigarettes.

Met a girl that seemed into me at the club last night. I bought her a drink and got to talking. Super touchy feely but then she randomly just went off to some other guy and started flirting with him. I just shrugged and decided to go home.

Played Tomb Raider, what a great game! Steam summersale hit the wallet harder than I would've liked but I think I came away better than most. 4th of July is coming up and is a pretty big deal out here. Idk what I'll be getting into but if it's anything like last year, probably some big parties.

n2m else I can think of. I'm kinda tired but just wanted to write something. I hope to write more soon.

      hello all,

So the weather cooled down on saturday which i sorta thought would happen but my friend that was planning on visiting cancelled cause they didn't want to go to the beach on a cold weekend. No worries. I just played some video games and chess with my roommate most of the weekend. I met new neighbors that moved in next door.

Two stunningly attractive girls both from different states like my roommate and I. I like forward to seeing them more cause they seem really cool. We made them cupcakes to welcome them to the building and they just dropped off brownies they made in return. How nice ^__^

Friday I decided to go out despite having nearly no sleep during the week. I drank a Monster, my third energy drink of that day D:

I forgot my phone but we had already gone too far. I got separated from the guys so i just shady bounced and found myself alone on the strand stargazing and thinking about things. I hadn't really had a solitary moment to sit out on the beach and look at the stars and just watch the world turn. It was nice and peaceful. I dont' think the club is really my scene. I went back and the guys soon returned around the time i did. we played some chess and watched some tv, listened to music and just kinda hung out. It was a nice Friday night.

The rest of the weekend was just watching TV and playing games. Orphan Black is pretty amazing. I've finally caught up in that. Game of Thrones is always good. I pulled another legendary card in Hearthstone. So I made a Dragon Priest deck and it's been doing pretty decent so far. I might be able to break past rank 17 with it.

That's all for now. I think. I started composing a little poetry in my head but it's not really done yet. I might share some once it's farther along. If i'm not running i've at least resolved to think more and maybe write some poetry. :)

      The grass is greener

So earlier in the week I was informed that our bank decided to outsource all their IT. Basically I'm employed by an agency that contracts me out to the bank. I called up my agent to let them know and he called me back the next day to tell me he had an interview for me set for Friday morning. Well it was right down the street from the bank so it's was a nice and easy drive from the interview. I thought it went really well. My agent called me a couple hours later to say they just finished their interviews and I was quote, "leagues beyond the other candidates". I was floored. I accepted the direct to hire job, woohoo no more contracts! it'll be slightly more than what I'm making at the bank and i'll have a nice benefits package.

yesterday i got my kindle fire hdx i ordered from Amazon. i really like it. I haven't even used it for a book yet XD. I'm still debating what I want to start with on my list. I'm stuck between continuing The Wheel of Time at the fourth book. Or read Ender's Game since I just watched the movie recently. I'll ponder it some.

Car registration is set to expire at the end of the month but the DMV isn't open on weekends. I made the earliest appt i could set for like the second week in May. Hopefully that will be soon enough.

      ttfn, and take luck...

Finally got around to playing it for a couple hours. It's pretty good, the controls are way better than zelda twilight princess (thanks to the motion plus). It's very unique...almost unique like wind waker but in this case it's sky bound and of course you're saving the damsel in distress. I'm happy theres a lot of the original soundtracks in it. (Like when you enter someones home) I'm not sure if it's all editions but the game that I got also had the 25th year anniversary symphony disc in it. I haven't gotten into depth in the game yet, just got through the first mission but it looks like it'll be fun. It's not very predictable. :)
