Hey there filmmakers!
I made a DayZ inspired short movie with some friends that can be found here:
It's far from a masterpiece, but it was really fun to make!
I tried to capture that treacherous feeling of someone you just helped in the mod killing you.
Feel free, of course, to come with criticism. How could this short have been better, and what should I think about when I bring out my camera the next time?
The movie was filmed with a Canon EOS 550D, with the kit 18-55 mm lens, and a Canon EF 50mm 1.4 USM lens. The sound was captured with a Rode Shotgun Video Mic on top of the camera.
The movie was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

Today I had an employee at my internship teach me about the art of taking High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) which involves taking a 360 degree panorama image with a fisheye lens. It has been a great day indeed! :D
The image above is a quick test of two 3D primitive shapes thrown into a scene with said panorama as an image based lighting. I think that it is looking pretty good considering that the IBL is the only thing that is lighting the scene. I added Ambient Occlusion for the contact shadows. With some camera effects like Chromatic Aberration and correct Focal Length and so on, this image could've looked pretty good.
I am going to make some more experiments tomorrow. It is currently 01:21 (AM) here in sweden, so I should probably go home and sleep.

Hey, everyone! I have no idea if anyone will read this, but I'd just like to shout out a "Hello!" from a new community member!
There's a rough description of me in my profile, but other than that, I'm a really nice guy who loves to play video games and work within the computer graphics industry.
I am currently working as an intern at a CGI company in Sweden, so while my computer does the 3D simulations, I'll have some time to read/write posts :)
Have a good one! // Erik Ö.

I'm a 21 year old guy from Northern Sweden who radiate with positive energy!
I'm currently studying Computer Graphics, working at a 3D Studio as an internship. I know my way around 3D CGI, so if you're into that, don't be afraid to send me a message :)
Rooster Teeth has been a part of my life for a very long time. I found out about them while Red Vs Blue Season 2 was still in the making. I've never been a super-active community member, but Iäm givining it a shot now, so be gentle!
As said, I'm a cheerful guy, so poke me if you'd like! :D
