I'm actually 19, not 21. Why is that wrong? Because time sucks.

My name is MoltenSlowa, and I'm a Vocal Music and New Media Major.

Is that Connie Connie thing really necissary? It freaks me out just a bit.

Even though we were all laughing our asses off about the way pill guy says it on the Shizno.

Ah, sorry I didn't actually answer your question earlier.

      The answer!

Many. :) Yogscast's Shadow of Israphel/Minecraft series is one of the most incredible LP series because it slowly turns what was originally a show that was a let's play into an epic adventure.

However at the same time every Let's Play has the story of the game already involved, and unless it's a funny-cuts LP, the LP is actually featuring entire sections of the game. Some of them may be incomplete, but there's still story in the completed parts there.

If you're gonna call bullcrap to that though, you can also consider the story of the game's affect on a person. This hasn't been fully fleshed out in any LP I know of yet, but think about....Amnesia. I know you really don't want to, but think if Amnesia slowly turned someone into a cultist of ancient artifacts. Or Half-Life LPs turn a man into a conspiracy theorist.

So it really depends on what kind of story you're looking for here. The shining example of a story rooted in the people playing the game: Yogscast. Just go here:

      www.youtube.com/show/Minecraft

and watch from 1 to all the way to caught up. But really by the end of season 2 (which is the survival island stuff), you'll know what I'm talking about. It's a transformation and adaption of Let's Play designs into a story because they eventually became so wrapped up in Let's Plays of ANY Minecraft content there was no longer a need for the LPs they did at the start of the project. The first season is the golden nugget as the idea of pranking turns into one of a kind internet awesomeness.

Thing about full stories is they have an ending. I think You Suck at Photoshop has an ending but that was rather planned out. Not all LPs are because at the CORE, people still want to play more video games and make more LPs. So what's typically better if anything is to make a WORLD for the characters on the show to exist. Perfect example of this is the Shizno: Gary and Oro are roomies who constantly fight and compete for control of the show. Nothing progresses, changes, or dramatically happens between the two that means the status quo cannot be returning. However shit happens between them including fighting and whatnot. But by the next episode they're back to normal.

Articles like these are reasons you should be reading Rock, Paper, Shotgun.

The article is practically a review of Tribes: Ascend and all it's glorious design.

And yet, there's no rating, there's no "get" or "do not get", it just tells you, in good and sometimes witty writing, mind you, why Tribes: Ascend is great.
