Hey G1s! This year I'll be attending a STAR WARS CELEBRATION convention in the middle of my vacation time! Who doesn't love an everlasting franchise like Star Wars? During the con there will be a bunch of panels that relate to all past & future films to the series, guest stars of most veteran cast members (except for Harrison Ford, plane crash and all) signing autographs, a potential preview of more "Force Awakens" material, and I believe they'll be premiering a trailer for Battlefront 3! Lot's of exciting things happening at this event and I haven't even listed everything! Google "star wars celebration" and you'll find a plethora of info.

Not only will I be there to celebrate my passion for Star Wars but I'll be walking around with Screwattack attire and spreading the word for how AWESOME the website is and how AMAZING the gaming community is within, along with exploiting another kick-ass convention coming up in Texas *hint hint. The event goes from April 16th-19th and it's taking place at the Anaheim Convention centre. If any of you guys are just kickin it around the area then message me up so we can be chillin like villains!

In the meantime I'll be spoiling myself by riding a sh*t-ton of roller coasters and watching the Mighty Ducks win another this year. Hope to hear from you guys!

SGC 2013, oh man where to begin when describing one the greatest  (if not the greatest) video game conventions of all time?!  I'll start off by saying it's an experience I'm never going to forget: being surrounded by an amazing community and sharing all kinds of gaming experiences together!

From where I'm from I don't know enough people to be sharing all of my gaming nostalgia with and that's where SCREWATTACK comes in! The whole staff are an awesome bunch and they know how to rake in an AWESOME gaming crowd. Sadly I missed out on both SGCs since I didn't plan ahead well enough. This year I made sure I found the time and money to do so.

Despite a bumpy road through US customs I made it through to Dallas and ensured I had as much fun as possible! Immediately after leaving my bag(s) in my hotel room I booked it to the floor to meet everyone and explore! Shook hands with any g1 near me and gamed with any g1 near me. Such an AWESOME crowd! Not to mention a whole floor being surrounded by Arcade cabinets, console gaming, and INDIE DEVELOPERS! That was my favorite part of that floor! Screwattack having the ability to bring in a few indie devs to show off what games they're making was an amazing move. These guys knew what these gamers were looking for when it comes to an awesome side-scroller and we got a fair few! Trying out the AVGN Adventures for the first time was an amazing experience too (Screwattack is making games now, can you believe it?!).

Main events and guest we're SUPER SWEET! Watching Craig's attempt at beating Mike Tyson, Screwattack vs Mega 64 (The highlight for that was when SA beat their competition to Shaq Fu, how it was done was f**king hilarious), all panels, Mario Party After Dark, and of course the last Iron Man of Gaming. Witnessing the last two mystery games with my naked eyes will definitely be something I won't forget. When you watch what's archived, you'll might hear my shouts to what the games are (They were all complete guesses and they were both right! I think that's AMAZING!).

Of course the Staff and Volunteers have to be mentioned, this con wouldn't be here if it weren't for them too! Meeting and thanking these people was a wonderful opportunity that I made sure did not go to waste. Only thing I regret is not taking enough pictures! Gah a space phone can only hold so much space, I need a real camera. As a thank you token I gave Nervous Nick a gem of a gift that I hope for the best will be a future VGV, sorry not spoiling what it is.

I can say much much more but unfortunately part involves grown-up career work that involves no gaming so I'll leave this on a SUPER AWESOME POSITIVE note. THANK YOU SCREWATTACK FOR SGC! THANK YOU G1S FOR SGC! For 2014 I'm going to do everything in my power to ensure we have another SGC for next year. From donating to advertising. I hope this little blog gives a decent description to how awesome my experience was and why you should save up to come next year.

      Thanks for reading!
