So, are they doing it?

I'm getting kind of tired of cops being handed a copy of a law text
that clearly identifies what someone is doing as NOT ILLEGAL,
then the cop arrests the person anyway
Doesnt matter if its Salt Lake City cops arresting a Nurse for refusing to take someones blood without a warrant, or if its Austin cops arresting a guy for carrying "a firearm" when the law identified the carried item by name and description as specifically excluded from the law definition of Firearm in Texas
or, in Haiku-
Cop doesnt like it
Cop reads law that says Not Crime
If this is a thing,
I figure we should have a place to centralize talk on the matter- Poof! New Thread!
I heard a suggestion for a tent OCC Tent Jamboree at destination.
1) Is the destination spot final, since it is a path across the nation
2) How many are interested, how many considering flying or carpooling
3) Are we going to die in humidity & mosquitos
As summer draws near
I once again look at ways to reduce the amount of required house cooling with AC
by reducing the amount of house heating by appliances... such as game computer.
Given: CPU cores are running in the 30-40% zone while gaming,
Gpu 50-80% on 60vsync
Is there a way to reduce the cpu speed (and voltage??)
that would result in lower heat made but still get the same processing done?
If we run the chip at half clock, then it should jump from 40% load to 80%.
But would 80% of a chip at 2ghz be cooler than 40% of 4ghz? Modern chips & boards will throttle, so will a lower clock really matter?
Is the key the voltage, not the clock?
That we only need to drop the clock to stay stable at a lower voltage?
Any ideas on how to lower heat output of a <max game computer
without sacrificing game play?
So RTXS is going on,
and I dont see where folks are discussing it.
I was going to ask about the twitch streaming of RTXS,
but I dont see a RTXS section down with the other RTX subforums, and I dont see a bunch of chatter about RTXS anywhere else
After some years of hearing about folks lawfully making their own guns, I looked into it a bit last year. It seems there is an industry now to supply and support home gun making, and one aspect is the sale of "80%" firearm frame materials. I mentioned this as a New Year Resolution, and @Radius55 seemed interested, so I figured I'd talk about it here... "here" as in the Group forum for specific subjects rather than the main OCC Thread.
Making your own gun.
The laws are different state by state, so what is allowed by the feds may be illegal in your state or locality. It is up to the individual to determine what their local laws are (and obey them), so do not take anything you read here as advice on what the laws are where you live. However, if you do not have local laws prohibiting it, the feds allow you to build any gun you are allowed to own once its built. So no, you cant build a bazooka or machinegun unless you already have the fed paperwork to do so. It comes down to- If you are not denied by law from buying a gun, you can make it.
I started this thread not just to share my experiences with the project,
but to also hear if any of you guys have thought about doing one as well.
If anyone posts about doing something illegal, we will flag that post for removal by admin.
Dont incriminate yourself here, and dont say things that will get RT or me in trouble.
You can ask what is illegal, we can talk about how to do it differently within the law, but we will not be condoning anyones intent or attempts at breaking the law.
Regarding the secret Facebook Meetup,
January 15 – January 16
Jan 15 at 6:30 PM to Jan 16 at 10:00 PM CST
Main Event Entertainment (Austin, TX)
13301 North US Hwy 183, Austin, Texas 78750
uh... when is it, the 15th or the 16th... or are we gonna rave 30hrs at MainE
Radius just said fixing the foruim is up to Burnie, Matt, and Fullscreen.
(oddly, the RTCorp CEO make that list)
Maybe its time to stop begging for fixes here,
and get some Fullscreen Forums accounts so we can beg for fixes there.
Worth a shot??
