I've been a delivery driver for about five years now, and felt it was time to move on. The company that I am currently working with (I work for a pharmacy) doesn't have anything that I can move into. So after months of applying and being rejected I finally got hired by a pharmacy that a old coworker of mine works for. I'll be working in the office, which is the best thing for me as driving all day has wreaked me, sorting orders and making sure they go to the proper departments to be worked. It is a nice pay increase as well.
The reaction from my bosses was mixed. My primary supervisor was heartbroken, even going so far as to offer a $2 an hour raise to try and notice me to stay. I politely refused and she wished me well. My other supervisor was excited for me, telling me to do the best that I can and that it was a great opportunity for me to take. Most of my clients have been very happy for me as well.
So in two weeks I will start with the new company, and I am excited to see what the future holds.
