Well good with the proposal this time around in any case. When's her birthday?

*shrug* I guess it's not so strange thinking about the history of polygamy, it just surprised me since you're engaged now.

I've now accepted the fact that I'll die a bachelor (and a virgin).

Good to know you're not getting run over regularly. I wouldn't know about the whole social life thing, my only human contact these days is through wires -- I take it that's more of Sammy's "fancy do"s?

I'm okay, keeping busy, staying ahead of real life stuff like taxes and car service, behind with artwork, gotten addicted to minecraft recently. Everyone here's pretty much okay. Saw Kung Fu Panda 2 and Pirates of the Carribean 4 at the weekend. Erm... that covers it, really.

How was your Christmas/New Year/Festive Season?

    • DocRossim

I'm sorry. I'll never attempt to talk street again.
Seriously though, how are things going with you? And although it'll be late now the new year card is still on the cards, as it were... although now you can see it in my gallery anyway...
Anyway, *BIG HUG* Great to hear from you! How have you been?

Oh, I didn't mean your friend would lead you into a trap, I meant if the guy was waiting there on purpose as part of a trap, kind of thing.

Yeah, but you get even more bass at a rave party than you do at a concert.

    • DocRossim

I don't even like going to concerts. The bass of the speakers literally makes me choke.

    • DocRossim

      I wouldn't know.

    • DocRossim

I didn't realise it was two days...

    • DocRossim

I'm just terrible at remembering anything time-related. I have to check what day of the week it is most days, as well as what day of the month.

      The two days thing?

    • DocRossim

I have one, but I always forget to look at it.
Although, actually, looking at it now I think this one is from last year... and it's still on November.

    • DocRossim

      You did?
      Oh.
      How was it?

    • DocRossim

      The party thing.

But society in general identifies a man who cross-dresses as a transvestite but a woman who cross-dresses is just a masculine woman... or just a not-overly-feminine woman... or just a normal average woman these days. I guess it would be a bit different at a fancy do if a woman was wearing a suit instead of an evening dress...
I think it's probably got something to do with men feeling like men should be men and it's weak to act in any feminine kind of way. It's like how women tend to be more flexible about their sexuality than men, who think they have to be one way or the other.

Anyway, I'm sure you can put up with it just for one night.
If not... wear a suit. My sister wore a suit to my cousin's wedding, but then she was his "best man".

    • DocRossim

I always wonder why it's okay for women to wear male clothing but not okay for men to wear feminine clothing.

    • DocRossim

So you're like... a female transvestite!

    • DocRossim

      Ooh, shredded stocking, sexy.
Why is it that you hate getting dressed up, by the way?

Speaking of waking up to strange things, I had a dream that I was giving a massage to a shapely female dragon who happened to have fallen out of the sky in a previous "scene" of the dream, then I "woke up" to find I was fondling a leather bag full of fruit, and then I really woke up and realised the bag of fruit was also a dream, which makes a lot more sense than there being a leather bag with a couple of grapefruits and a melon in it in my bed.
I'm pretty sure I'm awake now, there's not sign of any odd sacks of fruit, but you can never be sure. *cue Inception "brrrrrr" sound*

    • DocRossim

      Thank you.
But really, it's, just got some baggage attached to it.
I think I'm going to change my account when my sponsorship is up anyway if I can't get my username changed, we'll see.

Haha well you know I'm laughing about that now :P

    • DocRossim

Okay, I'll be honest, I do know why it bugs me:

Being called "Doc" makes everyone think my username is a reference to Doc the character, which it isn't.

Being called "Doc" reminds me that I didn't do the degree I wanted to do because I didn't get high enough grades in my A-levels and that I'll never be academically confident enough to really get a Phd.

Being called "Doc" reminds me of Oroboros and his stupid "Don't call me David, on here I am the all powerful Oroboros" mentality.

Being called "Doc" reminds me of what Oroboros said that made me get all depressed and leave the site last year -- his little speech about having no strength of character and being totally inconsistent in my behaviour and pretending to be something I'm not all the time.

Being called "Doc" makes me feel like a fake ass person with fake ass internet friends. Being called by my real name makes me feel more like a real person with people who care that I have a real name that I like to be called.

I LIKE my real name, it has a meaning and was given to me for a reason.

So PLEASE stop with the "Doc" or I really am going to have to stop talking to you, and also start a new account once my sponsorship is up and re-upload all my journals and stuff to that account. or possibly just get my username changed if I can, but I will have to start a new youtube channel.

    • DocRossim

You know that every time you call me Doc in a comment I'm deleting it, right? If you keep calling me Doc I'm going to be forced to make a new account as soon as my sponsorship runs out, and do the same on Youtube, and then not be friends with you anymore. Seriously, it's a sore point. I'm not totally sure why it's a sore point, but it is.

Ah yes, the "party-face". When's that happening?

    • DocRossim

I'm sure your muscles will survive.

    • DocRossim

Precisely. Penchant just looks like you say it "pen-chant" otherwise, whereas penchant looks like you say it "pawn-shawn", much classier.

      Anyway

      So how you doing?

    • DocRossim

Possibly, everyone has a penchant for something.
(I'm not sure why I put penchant in italic. I think it's 'cause it makes it look more French or something).

    • DocRossim

Heheh, word sex. I kind of know what you mean though, it's like hearing a girl talk about something obscure that you thought only you were interested in, or about anything Nigella Lawson says (parody: link).
