Sophomore year has been conquered, and now between the homework of my AP classes and the heat of the summer, I finally have an upcoming event that I've been anticipating for months: my job in Butte Meadows. I'm particularly looking forward to this because at my place of work (Camp Lassen), technology is non existent. Don't get me wrong, I love technology; my life revolves around it. But for the next 7 weeks, I'll be unplugged, which I'm all for. The way I see it, it's fine if I do a bit of Assassins Creed or Minecraft over the weekends, but I want to be able to be a person without an iPod glued to my hand. This job should do that for me.
If you don't know already, my job title is assistant ranger, so I get to shoot shtuff and get paid (fuck yea!). The other part of my job consists of acting, which I love. My brother and I are going to be doing an adaptation of the bit "Dentist in a Box". If you haven't seen it, watch it on YouTube. It's hilarious.
Overall, I'm looking forward to te opportunities that this job will present me over the break. I get Saturdays off, so if any of you are vaguely interested in what I write, I'll be trying to make updates. Until then, I'm due to leave next Sunday. With that in mind, I guess this is a bit of a goodbye. Hopefully you guys make the most of your time off.
Enjoy the summer, and see you soon :)
