      The Great Destroyer - Caboose
      The Great Weapon - Epsilon
      The Great Retriever - Washington
      The Great One - Alpha
      The Monster - CT
      Something Evil - The Meta

The Great Freezing Plains - Sidewinder
The Trial of the Windmill - Facing the Meta at Last Resort
      The Ship - The Pelican
The Great Doom - Destroying the AI at Command

The Great Prophecy - The Recollection Trilogy
The events in the Recollection Trilogy (if interpreted properly) match up with the events and elements described in the Great Prophecy.

      The Great Destroyer - Caboose
According to Gamma, "The Great Destroyer" is both a shisno and a blue being. Furthermore, the Great Destroyer is also supposed to be the stupidest life form in the universe. Caboose is human, wears blue armor, and is unbelievably stupid, so he matches the description perfectly. The Great Destroyer was destined to ultimately claim the Great Weapon. By the end of Reconstruction, it was Caboose who claimed possession of the Epsilon Unit. The Great Destroyer is also supposed to have a hand in killing Gamma and destroying the Facility that houses the Great Weapon. The entire gang from Reconstruction (Caboose included) was held responsible for activating the EMP which killed Gamma and essentially destroyed the Facility.

      The Great Weapon - Epsilon
Naturally, "The Great Weapon" is expected to be a dangerous thing with a vast amount of capabilities. Epsilon is one of the most potent AI because it can simulate the personalities and capabilities of all the other AI that broke off from the Alpha. Basically, Epsilon contains representations of the all the other Alpha fragments, including the Alpha itself. Also, Epsilon has repressed memories that if resurfaced could awaken a deadly wrath, the likes of which have never been seen. Also, it was stated that the Great Weapon was supposed to be a key. Delta always said that memory was the key. Epsilon is the Alpha's memories, so technically Epsilon is the key... just as the Great Prophecy foretold.

      The Great Retriever - Washington
The title of "The Great Retriever" was originally claimed by the Green Alien that helped Omega and Wyoming kidnap Junior. The role of the Great Retriever was never discussed, but the Green Alien's actions in Season 5 may provide a few hints. First of all the Green Alien assisted in retrieving both Junior and Tucker's Sword. At the time, the Green Alien envisioned Junior as the Great Destroyer and Tucker's Sword as the Great Weapon. Therefore, it would seem that the Great Retriever's role is to retrieve the Great Destroyer and unite it with the Great Weapon. Agent Washington was the one who retrieved Caboose from Rat's Nest and eventually united him with Epsilon, so it would seem that Wash did fulfill the role of the Great Retriever. It should also be noted that a "retriever" is "one who recovers or regains" which is exactly what Wash's job was as a Recovery Agent. Recovery One may have been the Great Retriever from the Great Prophecy.

      The Great One - Alpha
This title was only mentioned once, but " The Great One" appears to be an individual very important to the Great Retriever's mission. The Alpha was essential in Washington's plan to stop the Meta, take down Project Freelancer, and make sure that Caboose escaped with Epsilon. Plus, it seems only fitting that the Alpha itself would get a proper title in the Great Prophecy, and since the Alpha was originally the "one" AI from which all the others were created from, it seems suitable for the Great Prophecy to refer to the Alpha as the Great One.

      The Monster - CT
Andy said that "The Monster" resided in the Great Burning Plains, which is exactly where CT was found. Andy also said something about the Monster having armor, so the Monster must have been a soldier of some sort. The Monster is supposed to be defeated with the Great Weapon, and it should be noted that CT was ultimately killed by Epsilon.

      Something Evil - The Meta
According to Andy, there is something evil that tries to steal the Great Weapon. This evil being is attracted to the Great Weapon and can't live without it. The Meta is an evil being that pursued Epsilon and tried to steal it. The Meta also seemed to suffer from some health issues due to having too many armor enhancements and not enough AI to run it all. Wash became so concerned with the Meta's condition that he had Simmons lure Doc to Valhalla to monitor the Meta's health. The Meta needed to acquire another AI in order to prevent his condition from further deteriorating.

LFTO: The Prophecy in Recollections 2

/Continued from LFTO: The Prophecy in Recollections 1

All that remains are the events of Revelation. Will the events of this season mirror the last part of the prophecy? Caboose may potentially be the Great Destroyer, and Epsilon may potentially be the Great Weapon. At the end of Chapter 6 of Revelation, the two of them head off together to investigate a specific facility somewhere far away. Epsilon made a comment about hoping to reach it before nightfall, which may indicate that the location which they are heading to has a partly darkened sky. It should be noted that in Part Four of Recovery One, it was shown that Epsilon died when Wash and Epsilon were at a snowy area. Is it possibly that Epsilon is being drawn to a facility in a freezing cold environment? Does Epsilon have a special history and/or attraction with a facility in a snowy area? If Caboose and Epsilon are heading that way, will they pass through the Halo 3 version of the Great Swamp (Guardian)? Is the facility that they’re heading towards going to be the Halo 3 version of the Great Freezing Plains (Avalanche)? If they are heading that way, it supports the idea that the Great Prophecy is being carried out for real this time.

If the last part of the Great Prophecy is carried out in Revelation, it may also explain why the season is named “Revelationâ€Â. The Great Prophecy foretold an apocalyptic scenario in which the Great Destroyer brings about a Great Doom for billions of people. Therefore, if this season does carry out the last part of the Great Prophecy, it would make sense to name it “Revelation†since the name alludes to how the Book of Revelation in the Bible similarly prophesizes an apocalypse.

Crunchbite (the Alien) also said that the reward for the quest was emancipation. Even though he said it was emancipation for his species, that claim might have just been a misunderstanding. Perhaps the ones who really will be emancipated or "set free" might pertain to the Epsilon, the Alpha, Tex, or any of the other AI fragments still around.

(The Great Destroyer was also said to bring about the Great Doom for billions of people, so if the story of Recollections does follow the prophecy, then perhaps Epsilon is more dangerous than anticipated.)

-“The Great Destroyer has arrived. The end is near.â€Â

-“This is the housing facility for the Great Weapon. I am the keeper of the Great Weapon. You are the Great Destroyer. You will demolish this facility, kill me, steal the Great Weapon, and bring about the Great Doom for billions of people.â€Â

This theory explains how the Great Prophecy from the Blood Gulch Chronicles might be in the process of being fulfilled throughout Reconstruction, Recreation, and Revelation.

Based off the things Gamma said and the stuff Andy translated for Crunchbite (the Alien), here is essentially the description of the Great Prophecy:

The Great Destroyer will be a blue being who is also the stupidest life form in the universe. The Great Destroyer will also be a male Shisno. The Great Destroyer will come to claim the Great Weapon, kill Gamma, and destroy the facility that houses the Great Weapon. The Great Weapon also will be a key. The Great Destroyer will go on a Sacred Quest that takes it across the Great Burning Plains and the Great Freezing Plains. At the Great Burning Plains there is an armored Monster which must be vanquished by the Great Weapon. During the quest, there is something evil that tries to take the Great Weapon. This evil being is attracted to the Great Weapon and can’t live without it. The Great Freezing Plains is where the quest ends. At the end of the quest lies emancipation. The Great Destroyer will also bring upon the Great Doom for billions of people.

Over the course of the Recollections saga, certain events have resembled this very prophecy.

First of all, one can easily make the connection that the Great Destroyer may very well be Caboose since he is both blue and incredibly stupid. Gamma also said that the Great Destroyer would be a Shisno, which seems to be a term for human. In Reconstruction, Caboose carried out the first part of the prophecy. By assisting Wash, Caboose was involved with taking down Project Freelancer. Wash entrusted Caboose to transport the Epsilon Unit out of range of the EMP. When the EMP went off, several events of the prophecy were potentially fulfilled. The EMP destroyed all the technology at Command, which rendered the facility nonoperational. The EMP might have also (though not confirmed) destroyed Gamma. Caboose contributed to Wash's efforts, so these results could be traced by to Caboose as well. It should also be noted that Caboose was the first one to be contacted by Wash, so everything that followed originated from Caboose’s involvement. (It may seem a bit of a stretch to blame Caboose for Gamma’s death. However, in the Recreation Trailer, Church seems to find a way to blame the idiots inhabiting Valhalla for his most recent death, so perhaps they can also be blamed for the “deaths†of any of the other AI fragments. The argument can also be made that Caboose killing Church could alone satisfy the requirements of the prophecy since Gamma is a part of Church) Also and most importantly, Caboose escaped with the Epsilon Unit. It was believed in the Blood Gulch Chronicles that Tucker's sword was the Great Weapon, but that assertion may have been incorrect. It’s possible that the true Great Weapon is the Epsilon Unit, and if Caboose claimed the Epsilon Unit for himself after leaving Gamma and the facility he stole it from to be destroyed, then that only supports the argument that Caboose is the Great Destroyer.

In Recreation, Caboose travels to Sandtrap with Sarge and Grif. This place is essentially a hot desert with mines scattered all over that detonate in fiery explosions when triggered (burning plains, get it?). This place may very well be the Great Burning Plains from the prophecy. Not to mention, Donut’s discussion with the counselor suggests that Sandtrap is the Halo 3 version of the place that Andy claimed to be the Great Burning Plains back in the Blood Gulch Chronicles. It is here that Caboose transfers Epsilon to the monitor, allowing Epsilon to use powerful and unique abilities. At the dig site though, a particular ruthless villain known as CT causes trouble. CT may very well be the armored Monster from the prophecy that is supposed to inhabit the Great Burning Plains. The Great Weapon is supposed to be used to vanquish the armored Monster, so it's very interesting that Epsilon was the one that killed CT with its laser, fulfilling yet again another piece of the prophecy.

Also, Andy said that the prophecy speaks of something evil that tries to steal the Great Weapon. This evil thing is attracted to the Great Weapon and can't live without it. This might indeed be a reference to the Meta, who is a menacing antagonist in the series. The Meta had been hunting down the AI fragments since even before Reconstruction. However, the Meta’s collection of AI fragments appears to have been lost following the events in Reconstruction, so it seems the Meta has become even more desperate in tracking down AI fragments. In Revelation, the Meta is being assisted by Wash in hunting down Epsilon. The Meta needs Epsilon to run its enhancements and such. The prophecy states that the evil being that pursues the Great Weapon needs it to live. In the beginning of Revelation, Wash feared that the Meta's lack of AI fragments may have had a negative effect on the Meta's health. This is why he had Simmons call for a medic. Even though Wash had a biocom in Reconstruction, he might have wanted Doc to come just to have someone more professional evaluate the Meta’s health in case something serious escaped Wash’s detection. Even after Doc cleared the Meta’s physical health, perhaps Wash kept Doc as a hostage in order to monitor the Meta’s future health in case the Meta’s condition changed.

It would seem the Great Weapon is also supposed to be a key. Epsilon is the memories of Alpha, and as Delta always did say "Memory is the key" so that means Epsilon is the key in a way, just as the prophecy foretold.

But Master Chief doesn't have the ability to freeze time, sneak up behind his enemies, and shoot them in the back.

If neither Master Chief nor Maine had any AI or special armor equipment, I think it would be a closer fight, and I could definitely see Master Chief narrowly winning that one.
